Too bad they went out of business. Great chili. Will definitely order again. Great flavor and texture. The monte Cristo is good, but the rye bread slices are too large and over power the flavor. French dip is a sandwich I'll definitely order again. And Barbara is a fantastic server; kind and attentive.

Had an excellent family breakfast here with my family of five. Service was print and our waiter, I think her name was Ty ty, was very friendly and clearly enjoyed her job. The place was clean and taken care of. The food was delicious.

After a glowing recommendation from The Daughter, we made it a point to visit Metro Diner over the weekend. Having been to the store on the west side, we already knew the food was pretty good. That particular visit saw some of the absolute worst service I've ever experienced. Not so this time. First, let me preface that our server Hope was off the charts. She was what every server aspires to be. On point, fast, efficient, friendly (dare I say charming), and present just enough to see to our needs without being the least bit intrusive. So, that should tell you how good the service was. I'd give 5 starts just on that if I could. So, cut to the food. The Wife had the Chicken Pot Pie, The Kid, ever predictable, opted for the chicken tenders, breaded and fried, with fries and a salad. For myself, I stepped up my game and went with the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict. I figure if you're gonna throw that down, I'ma picking it up and running with it. The Wife's CPP was flaky, hot, bursting with both veg and chicken, as well as flavor. If she had one critique, it was that it could have used more sauce, but that was just picking nits. The bite I sampled was quite good. The Kid's chicken tenders were off the charts. For something as simple and mundane as fried chicken breast tenders, Metro knows how to deliver, which is something most places can't really seem to nail. Hot, incredibly juicy and tender and full of flavor. The fries were good, but just fries, with nothing much special going on there. The salad was full of stuff, probably more than The Kid preferred, but it was a worthy side. As for the Crab Cake Eggs Bennies... let's just say I would have licked the plate clean had I not maintained a shred of dignity. The cakes were well seasoned and nicely cooked. They did have a fairly noticeable crab smell about them, as commented by the wife, but that wasn't a drawback, as they tasted fine and not the least bit old or stale. The eggs were a little overcooked for my preference in poached eggs, but just a bit, and were still a worthy addition on the crab cakes. The hollandaise was creamy and savory. If anything, it could have used just a dash more lemon, especially with the crab cakes needing some citrus, but still was really, really solid. Accompanying the Bennies was a half plate (literally) of some of the best hash browns I've had in a good long while. The browns were cooked like a steak, being kept intact and not scrambled up. This let them get a really toasty, golden brown crust and a moist, hot steamy inside, which is everything good hash browns should be. The food was on point in every aspect, and the service was over the top. The only thing that kept this from being 5 stars was the joint was loud. It's a small place, with a lot of people and a fairly open kitchen, so it's understandable. Still, from me, 4 out of 5 stars speaks volumes about how much I liked the place.

Always tasty comfort food. Good service. Manager seems to always be on top of things. Better than Tally's by far.

This place is great... friendly service.. huge portions.. they always have daily specials for breakfast and lunch. Their entire menu is served all day.. so if your craving pot pie or meatloaf at 8:00am... ignore the judging voice in your head.. and order it! They have great specialty coffee drinks and $2.99 mimosa or bloody Mary's... all day everyday! The hash brown are the way to go.. over the home fries... they are crispy Golden on the outside and soft and buttery on the inside. The fresh breads they have are exceptional... I obviously have a carb addiction

This place is underrated! I’m assuming it’s because of the location, or how new the restaurant is.. but

GREAT PLACE TO EAT.... FOOD WAS REAL GOOD I went two days in a row because I love great customer service and both days were just that. Next time I'm in Tulsa I'll be back... the menu has so much to choose from and good prices too.

Food always tastes very good and comes out quickly. Servers and management all seem committed to the customer enjoying their experience. If you haven't been, check it out for sure. Also, make sure you read the specials chalkboard. The fried chicken Benedict is a recurring favorite of mine.

So far I have been to Metro 4 times and every time I have been impressed. Fresh coffee, good food and very attentive wait staff. Hope took care of us and the cinnamon roll pancakes were 10/10 didnt even need syrup.

Great atmosphere. Waitstaff courteous and helpful. Clean restuarant. Was there around noon, still offering breakfast. Small 6-7 bar sitting. Outside covered sitting area. Food was delicious. Big portions as well.

Really great experience here! Also, ask for a military discount to get 10% off! There was a little bit of a wait but it was well worth it. This is a wonderful place for brunch. I came with a group of 6 and we were seated after about 20 minutes. Our waitress was very nice and personable. Our food also came out pretty quickly so we didn't get too hangry. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake stuffed waffles from their chalkboard of specials and it was SO delicious. It was sweet, but not overly sweet. I recommend ordering some hashbrowns on the side to balance the sweetness but it's so much food with just the waffles alone. The price is really good for the amount of food you get. Also, adding two eggs is only $2! Overall, the friendly staff, delicious food, large portions, and great selection made for a great brunch experience. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for brunch in Tulsa.
