Moms Family Diner- 41st and mingo We tried out this restaurant when we started to have a lot of problems at one of our usual restaurants that is similar to Mom's Family Diner. If I did this review when we first started going here I would have given 5 stars but we have had some problems with the service. 1. One of the big things for me and my family, is to keep our drinks filled. We drink can drink pretty quick. We don't expect to have refill before or as soon as we get done with the drink but shouldn't have to wait till we get our meal before you see that we need a refill especially when you have to wait a little while for it to be freshly made. If it was super busy we know it may be a little bit before getting a refill but for this to happen when there is barely anyone there, it becomes a major problem. 2. We have had some problems when it comes to the ticket so we can pay for our food. We would get done and then be sitting for 10 minutes plus before we get our ticket and only after waving someone down to bring it to us. Recently I told them when they was taking our order that I was going to have a to go order as well and gave them what it was. I never got the receipt or food and I don't think they even wrote it down. It may just be a new server in training for some of the times but with how many people there, I wouldn't think I'd have to wait so long with an empty drink or wait to be able to pay my bill. Those are the 2 main things on why it lost 2 stars. I have gone here a lot and looked at my entire experience so this isn't after 1 or 2 instances. The food is amazing, best burger I've ever had and the portions are great. People are friendly and I will still go here every once and a while. Definitely suggest this Diner for the food.

Absolute best breakfast I have had anywhere. Everything was great even the coffee. Service excellent. Great chicken fried steak and the best hashbrowns and pancakes. Alot of places can takes notes from this place.

I went there with some friends that love it. I can see why. The service was amazing. The food was really good. I love being able to have breakfast at any time. True dinner experience.
This place is the definition of don't judge a book by its cover. I'd like to say im a bit of a Chicken fried steak expert, if it's on the menu I have to get it. I honestly think it's the best I've ever had, it was incredible. All the food I stole from the rest of the family was as well, kids cleaned their plates which is rare! Proportions were great and the staff was awesome! Highly recommended and will definitely be coming back!

Very good home cooking! Very good value for the money. I had the open-faced roast beef sandwich with fries and husband had chicken fried steak with potatoes and fried okra. Mine was huge actually shared with my granddaughter. He said the coating was very good, but the steak could have had a little more seasoning. Food was hot and came out quickly. Next time we are trough Tulsa we will stop again.

All went well. Restaurant was busy, clean including the restroom which is a big deal. Ask the young lady at front if this restaurant used to be Village Inn, she just kind of shrugged her shoulders and then said I Don't Know. That was a little unexpected. If you are young, or if you don't know try asking. Anyways she was the hostess and we did not deal with her at any other time.
However our waitress was Jamie and she was phenomenal. Very professional, took order and delivered orders with ease, and made us feel just like we were in our own Mother's kitchen. The food was delicious and we had good portion sides. Thanks again Jamie for your kindess.
