I came in on a Wednesday around 1pm. I had never been here before....The dining room looked full, with minimal dirty tables....I was there for to-go desserts...the host directed me to the bar for "to-go" orders....I ordered dessert, Tiramasu and lemonchello cake....24$...each of the desserts were 9$, and some change.....the bill was 20$ something, with tip equals 24$....that is a hefty price for a sliver of cake and a small piece of Tiramasu....they were good, don't get me wrong, and I get it, everything is so expensive, idk, I kinda feel jipped...I guess i didn't have to get them, I get that too, but geez

Food was okay but not worth the hype that the restaurant has. Surprisingly not overpriced. Service and atmosphere was nice but I'd presume when it's busy it's really busy

Way to crowed….we got seated an 1+ after we arrived for our 7:30 RSVP.
The food was okay - I was hoping to taste the bold flavors that usually found in italian food - the few dishes we order were bland.
One of our guest had the Alfredo Pasta and stated it was delicious.
I would go back one other time for a do over.
I think they may have been under prepared for the Saturday turn out.
However, those with RSVP should have to wait over an hour to be seated.
We arrived at 7:20p to be seated about almost at 9am, to order lates and start earned at 9:40iish….we clearly left the restaurant after closing.
Parking: Parking was very scattered
Kid-friendliness: Our waitress’s was the best thing….

Ordered take out. Two pasta dishes, tortellini with Alfredo sauce and one with meat sauce. The Alfredo one didn’t have peas in it as described and the meat sauce once didn’t have a single piece of meat.
When I got back to the hotel and got out of the car and removed the food, the bottom fell out of the sack and all of the food was spilled on the concrete.
So, I can’t really talk about the taste of the food, but I did see it.
Very disappointing!

The guy that owns this place was so rude to my family. We were there for father’s funeral.
It was hectic and we had a special needs granddaughter and the room we reserved wasn’t big enough. Asked if the 5 could sit in patio, which was closed. He said YOU ASKING ME OR TELLING ME??? Then he said you can just leave and yelled at me sister DONT TOUCH ME!!
I knew he was an owner, he was obnoxious and rude and no professional manager would ever act like that. . Will NEVER go back there.
Service was great. Poor wait staff have to deal with owners awful behavior.

Horrible experience!! Had a reservation for 6 people , they overbooked still had to wait 30 min. They put 5 people plus a baby in highchair in the aisle, in a booth meant for 4. Got our orders wrong. My son never got his food, he had
to share the baby's pizza, when it finally came . We were all done eating , so he took his meal home in a to go box, and they charged him for it!!! Last...an old man had the nerve to ask if we can scoot our childs highchair out of the aisle!! Our response...our waitress sat 6 people in a booth for 4 people and you want to complain about our baby being in the aisle???? Later we found out he was the owner..and didnt identify himself....Very rude! Horrible experience. Will not return, will not recommend, very rude owner for an upscale brookside restaurant!!
The atmosphere and service were both fantastic. The food wasn't that great. The Alfredo sauce on the grilled chicken fettuccine was bland. It had no taste. It was comparable to Olive Garden. The food used to taste so much better. I hope this was just a one-off.

We have been to Mondos before and the food and experience was very nice. Something has changed! We thought the food was very good before, service was great, but this time it was a mess. The food left a lot to be desired and service was chaotic. it didn’t look very busy when we arrived so that can’t be it. The hostess and greeters were friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was fabulous, fun and personable.
I cook a lot, especially Italian cuisine, and host dinner parties in my home. It’s not hard to make great Italian dishes.
We ordered a couple appetizers which were not too bad. The plates were huge which wasn’t necessary for the food on them. With the cocktail and wine glasses, water glasses, individual appetizer plates for four, there wasn’t much room left on the table. While we were still eating the appetizer, the salads come out on big plates! No big deal but I would expect a high end Italian restaurant to know how to make a classic Caesar salad dressing - not Mondos! What happened to the mayonnaise, pressed garlic, anchovy paste, extra virgin olive oil …? Caesar dressing is so easy to make and hard to screw up. How could this happen? Maybe they ran out of the Caesar and thought no one would notice the difference if they got the other menu option which was a “vinaigrette!” I could forgive that. You do what you have to in a pinch, just acknowledge it and move on. But that wasn’t it. The kitchen sent out a sample in a cup with a message “this is Mondo’s Caesar dressing.” I said, “No, it is not a Caesar, it is a crappy citrusy vinaigrette!”
Then servers, not our waitress who was great, started to come to the table with entrees - not what we ordered which was annoying. After they figured out they were for a different table they went away calling out the name of the entree hoping someone would claim it. Finally our food came out, again on huge plates. Okay, it looked like a lot of food. However, the servers started to put these four large entrees on the table with the empty appetizer serving plates, appetizer plates, large plates of salad that no one ate and the glasses, etc etc. There was no extra room on the table - literally no room but these servers just started to push things around to put more plates on an already crowded table. I called our waitress who ha to stop the servers and made them clear the table. So two servers stood there each holding two plates with our food getting cold while the table was cleared. Chaos.
Okay the table is cleared and our entries are on the table.
I can’t speak for the others but I had the chicken piccata. Another fail. The chicken was a single piece of breast meat, very tough and thick that had grille lines. You don’t grille chicken for piccata to cook it. You pound it very thin to about a 1/4 inch thick, dredge it, brown it in olive oil and quickly sauté it in the sauce to a point of tender goodness to finish. Maybe it was another tough spot for the kitchen. There was a different entree on the menu with grilled chicken so maybe the kitchen figured “ this will work, they won’t noticed, the salad didn’t come back.” I don’t want to think the kitchen doesn’t know how to make a Chicken Piccata. And it is not served on top of a mountain of over cooked spaghetti. It is usually served with a small portion of linguine on the side or under the chicken but it is linguine not spaghetti. The Chicken is the point of the dish but pasta is cheap and makes an impression of a lot of food. Okay, I get it but not necessary for good food.
My wife had Veal Marsala, another classic that was ruined with a thick tough piece of meat. Veal is a flavorful, delicate piece of meat that can be tough to get right and you shouldn’t try if you don’t know what you are doing.
Sadly we won’t be back. Like I said, something has changed.
This was not a quiet, delicious, enjoyable dining experience.
And I apologize for the rant but for the disappointment and dissatisfaction of myself my guests, the opportunity to share this ter

We were a party of nine. Food was delicious and plentiful, and service was efficient, but we felt very crowded. Table was too small for the size of plates and number of our group. Three other groups shared the small room. The most aggravating thing of all was the noise level. Why on earth must there be music at all, much less music loud enough to drown out all conversation?! Everyone in the room talks louder and louder, trying to be heard by others, even those directly across the table. If the point is to make people eat hurriedly and leave, you succeeded. I would go back for the food, but probably never will now after a less than pleasant experience, and can’t recommend Mondo’s to anyone else.

Christmas get together with extended family here. First time. Had heard a lot of good things about this place and the food didn’t disappoint. Good selection of wine for the average person. Decent prices too on both drinks and food. Most meals come with a salad or soup which is a nice touch. Minestrone soup was good, more like a tomato soup but still good. The chicken parmigiana was delightful and very good. The pasta was fresh and the chicken was great. However, at a table of 12, my chicken parm came out 10 minutes after everyone else’s food which was annoying. No “sorry for the wait” or any effort made by the wait staff to apologize. But the food was good. Not the fanciest restaurant, but good prices and good Italian food.

bruschetta tasted just like tomatoes nothing else, I got the penny all the vodka and they put fresh basil and that's all you could taste was basil so it was horrible, did garlic bread and never did get it, The pizza was burnt on the crust and then raw in the middle.
Bringing up concerns about customer service is met with hostal remarks, no wonder why I only saw men in there. I would advise bringing your children, family and expecially women inside.
The lasagna was full of fennel seeds. I could not eat it. This was my first time to visit. I sure will never be back! There was not enough room between tables. This place is a let down for the money. I am disappointed for even trying. The food and staff was just horrible.
