Excellent food. Greeted warmly as I walked in. Service all friendly. I had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy with green beans and a roll. Everything was excellent.

OMG, hands down the BEST chicken fried steak I have ever had, and I have eaten a LOT! My dad asked if it was tender and the waitress didn't think so, so dad didn't get it, but the steak itself absolutely is!! The breading was crispy but still easy for my dad to eat. The meat must be marinated, i have never had any with so much flavor. I gave dad half of mine and missed it but still had plenty to eat because it was a huge portion! The biscuits were scrumptious and the gravy had so much flavor!! We will definitely be back. So sad I didn't know this place was here long ago!!

Do yourself a favor and dine at Nelson’s. Everything I’ve ever had is delicious. You can’t beat a restaurant owned and operated by the same family for almost a 100 years!!! Homemade!!! Maybe you will get lucky and Mrs. Nelson will be carrying out her pies hot out of the oven. I’ve eaten plenty when there for breakfast because they are hot!!! Lordy. Pancakes and hot blueberry or coconut cream pie are my favorite. And then the buffet line. The Cod special, the World famous Chicken Fried steak, the REAL mash potatoes and green beans. On and on I could go about this wonderful historic Tulsa restaurant.❤️❤️❤️ EAT there please!!!

Food & service was very good. Very friendly atmosphere. The owner visited every table! She's ground d 87 years old ( I think she said ) & very active. A very inspirational lady & many members of her family work there. I hope to go again soon. They use fresh ingredients.
