I love pho, and was visiting a friend in Tulsa. Imagine my surprise when I had the best bun bo hue of my life, in the middle of OK! Sweet baby Jesus it was good. I usually add at least some condiments to the broth, but this was so rich and well seasoned as is that I couldn't help but empty my bowl, despite my overfilled stomach screaming at me to stop.

Pho Da Cao been here since, like, foreverrr. Before all the new pho spots showed up, this place was already holding it down. Legit OG status. Easily top 3 when I need that pho fix fr fr. And trust—if the line stays lined, the broth is fine. They’ve ALWAYS got people eating here. Empty? Never happened.

Used to be sit-down vibes only, but after The Rona™ we gotta order first then grab a seat. It’s cool tho. System still bussin’.

The Grandma who ran it? Straight-up legend. She watched me bring in all my ‘situationships’ over the years 😅 But she’s retired now and the fam took over. Menu + flavors? Still undefeated. And the fried rice? Absolute fire. That’s my wife’s go-to e v e r y time.

We stay loyal to this local spot. Choosing between our top 3 pho places? Low-key impossible. We literally gotta draw names from a hat like it’s a game show. 💀🔥

Pho Da Cao forever. ✌️

Ordered on door dash and ask for extra brocolli in my veggie Pho. They gave us approximately 5/6 little pieces and broccoli and ADDED ten dollars (4.54 each order) for the “extra” brocolli without letting us know. So woke up to this additional charge when they could’ve called and verified that because we definitley would’ve sad no to their highway robbery. Idk how door dash allowed them to even take money out of my account without prior authorization but we order from here every other week and we will not be making that mistake again. Absolutley unprofessional. I’ll buy a dollar bag of brocolli and steam it myself.

Viet food was not authentic, Pho was tasteless. Would not recommend if you’re looking for Vietnamese food authenticity.

The soup is good, BUT I have no idea why there was BOOGERS on my basil. I asked for extra basil while I was about to put it in my soup I felt something SLIMING I looked at the basil n there was some light greenish slimy boogers on my fingers n basil. Im disgusted n will NEVER go back. So disappointed

Pho was blend. The broth had little taste and it was not hot. The pork egg rolls were small and warm only. The sweet and sour chicken was overcooked.

This is the first and last time I’ll ever waste my energy writing a review about Pho Da Kao in Tulsa. I will never return, and I want every customer to know why.

On September 28, 2025, I was sightseeing in Tulsa and decided to try some Vietnamese food. I was excited to see grilled pork rice on the menu—it’s my favorite dish. But when my order arrived, what I got was stir-fried pork with steamed rice. Completely different, totally Americanized, overly sweet, and not what I ordered at all.

I immediately spoke with the owner, expecting an apology or at least acknowledgment. Instead, she refused to admit any mistake. She bragged about being in business for 40 years, as if that excuse served the wrong food. I’ve been a chef for over 20 years—I know the difference between grilled pork and stir-fried pork. Her excuse? “Grilling takes too long, so we stir-fry.” That’s not authentic, that’s lazy.

When I suggested the menu should be corrected to avoid misleading customers, she flat-out refused. She said she would never change it and even told me if I didn’t like it, I could go somewhere else—because apparently she doesn’t care about her customers or her reputation. She literally admitted she doesn’t care if people leave bad reviews.

So here’s my warning: if you want real Vietnamese food, do not waste your time or money here. This place misleads customers, cuts corners, refuses to take responsibility, and clearly doesn’t value the people who keep them in business. There are plenty of better Vietnamese restaurants in Tulsa that actually serve what’s on the menu and treat their customers with respect. Pho Da Kao is not one of them

Your food comes out pretty quick and portion sizes were more than adequate. I found the food very average for flavor and the overall restaurant somewhat cramped with seating. Most people seemed to be getting their food to go, so it was not a problem with overcrowding while I was there. Ordering was simple, right when you walk in, and the menu pretty basic. This made it easy to order quick. The spring rolls were the best part of the meal.

Walked the girl at the front just pointed to the menu without saying a word. After food was brought that was the end of any service. No ask of how the food is, no asking if refills, no speaking to guests at all. Food was okay, but service no good!!
