⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hands down the best Latin food in Tulsa. Every time I eat at Que Gusto, I’m blown away by the flavor, the quality, and the care they put into every dish. The food is vibrant, authentic, and incredibly satisfying.
What really sets them apart, though, is their gluten-free options—by far the best and most flavorful in all of Tulsa. As someone who eats gluten-free by necessity, I can honestly say I’ve never felt like I was compromising on taste here. Everything is thoughtfully prepared, and the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating.
The atmosphere is casual but warm, and you can tell it’s a labor of love. Whether it’s your first visit or your tenth, the service is always welcoming and genuine.
If you haven’t been yet, go. If you have, go again.

I love the food, the menu is perfect, I just didn’t know that the restaurant is small and when I went it didn’t have enough tables, out of that I just love it ❤️

A must try. It may or may not be for you, but to not try Que Gusto would be wrong. It may be a lifelong experience as long as it remains
Food:
Had the beef empanada, chicken empanada, the ceviche, and fried plantains. Everything was very very good. The ceviche tasted very fresh and was very flavorful. The chimichurri was an excellent combination with the plantains. Price wise, for a lunch for two, I paid about $40 - $45. I think the value here speaks for itself. Quality food for a reasonable price.
Service:
Having never had Ecuadorian food before, we didn’t really know where to start. Luckily everyone was very accommodating and the lady ringing us up gave us her recommendations, and explained what everything was.

Downtown Tulsa.. Not the first place you'd expect to find Ecuadorian-style empanadas made by hand—lovingly, defiantly—by a family who clearly cares.
Walk too fast and you’ll miss it. The smell of something baking, and a family behind the counter who treat you less like a customer and more like a friend who's just shown up for dinner.
The empanadas are baked—not fried—and that matters. There’s a tenderness to the crust, like someone meant it to hold something beautiful. And inside? Chicken, pork, beef, all treated with care, seasoned like the cooks actually taste their own food. Which they clearly do. You can taste pride. You can taste home.
Then there’s the pork sandwich.
Look, I’ve eaten pork in all its glorious forms.. But this sandwich? This thing is its own sermon. Juicy, sweet, just a little spicy. Comes on bread that’s not trying too hard, but still has integrity. It’s the kind of sandwich you finish too fast, then spend ten minutes staring at the empty plate wondering where the hell it went.
And the yucca fries—God help me. Flaky, golden, salty like the ocean, and just starchy enough to remind you that you’re alive. Dip them in a little of that house sauce if you want to ascend.
This isn’t fast food. It’s not fusion. It’s not some gentrified version of something once real. It is real. A family making food the way it’s supposed to be made. The kind of place that makes you feel like maybe the world isn’t completely broken. Not yet.
So if you find yourself in downtown Tulsa, between whatever meetings or errands or dull bits of life you’re crawling through, go eat something honest. Something made with love and lard and sweat and memory.
Go eat an empanada.

The food was good, the yuca fries especially were delicious. I really like their menu, there are a few great variations on some basic Latin dishes. It was, however, disappointing to have to wait half an hour past when the website told me to arrive to pick up my order, making my total wait time after paying one hour.

This is wonderful South American cuisine. The flavors are authentic to the region, and everything is cooked with such care that it feels like sitting down to eat at a friend’s home. The empanadas, in particular, are so good, and I’d say this is one of the best quick-service restaurants in Downtown. Such great value for the food, especially given its quality and freshness!

We used the Que Gusto Empanada cart over the weekend for a corporate event and everything was fantastic. From initially setting up the reservation to making sure that the list of dietary restrictions was incorporated into the menu, Carla's customer service was amazing. The cart itself matched the esthetic that we were going for and the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be using them again for future events!
