Do not celebrate your birthday here
I came here for my birthday, hoping for a nice dinner, and the experience was disappointing from the moment we walked in. When we arrived, no one greeted us. We stood there waiting until someone from the back—looked like a cook—had to come out and tell one of the girls who was sitting somewhere behind the counter to get off her phone and help us. That alone set the tone.
I wanted to leave right then, but my husband brought me here for my birthday, and I didn’t want to ruin the night. Unfortunately, the food and service did that on their own. The fish had no seasoning at all—you tasted nothing but plain fish. For the prices they charge, the quality was nowhere near acceptable.
The service was just as bad. Nothing about the experience felt special, welcoming, or even professional. This was supposed to be a step up from Nola’s, but it was a step down in every way. Definitely not birthday behavior.
I won’t be returning.

Excellent food and service. I had the red fish grilled. It was well seasoned and came accompanied with Cajun rice and asparagus. Tasty!

Food was very good. Reasonable prices. If you love okra, I suggest getting it as a side if you are getting a meal that comes in a basket like the chicken strips.. There was so much that I started getting tired of eating them.

This was our first visit to Red Door. We chose it because it is close to Bricktown Comedy Club. We made a great decision. Fantastic food with great, friendly service. We had the appetizer hush puppies, a poutine special, an entree salad and shrimp and grits. Nothing disappointed. Didn't make it to dessert, but the list looked fantastic as well. We would recommend this place to anyone and will be back soon.

Welp this was another one with the wife taking the helm at where we were going to share the evening.
I made a reservation for a booth.
When we arrived we were seated in the reserved booth.
Waiter introduced himself and gave us ample time to look through the menu.
Wife ordered the country fried chicken with smothered cajun gravy and mash, substituted the green beans for a cup of beans and rice.
I ordered the shrimp and grits and added both the sausage and chicken gumbo and a house salad.
The house salad and gumbo arrived first, and they both didn't disappoint, the salad was balanced perfectly and a first to have red onions that were chopped and mixed in alomg with the veggies. The Blackberry vinaigrette dressing was perfect, and I didn't have to use all the dressing either.
The gumbo had a good balance of seasoning along with spiciness.
Then our main plates arrived.
The shrimp was cooked perfectly and seasoned was spit on. The grits where thick and creamy cheese grits, the corn melody on top blended perfectly too.
Wife loved the fried chicken breast, it was cooked perfectly, and the breading was a nice panko thun layer that was seasoned. That cajun gravy was nice and blend of seasoning with a touch of paprika. The mashed potatoes complements the smothered chicken and cajun gravy.
The red beans and rice was delicious, perfectly cooked over time, to allow all those seasonings and herbs to blend. Both of our soups were hot (temperature), which is a really good thing. I'm pleased that the temperature wasn't medium.
Wife was at it again, so the wife chose to order dessert. The wife ordered us apple bread pudding. Oh lord, this was really good, and I mean really good.
Everything we ordered complemented the essence of this place.
What an experience.
What made our experience was our waiter.
The recommendations, and his attention to detail. The staff was pleasant was well.
