(EDIT: I have to break this review down into 2 parts because i had so much to say and it apparently exceeded the character limit!)

Part 1/2 of my review:

10000/10! It was absolutely fabulous. I wanted to write a full detailed review because of how magical this evening was. I will discuss, atmosphere, service, food and prices

Atmosphere: The atmosphere is intimate and romantic. I had an amazing date with my girlfriend last night. The mood is warm and relaxing and cozy. We felt like it was truly just the two of us in the entire restaurant. Granted, it wasnt busy, but even if it were it was so intimate and peaceful that it wouldnt have mattered if there was a full house because everyone there felt the same way about it. It has such a wonderful energy. You feel like you are transported to a fine dining venue in Spain and the immersion was incredible. They absolutely nailed it.

The service: Jenny (I believe was her name) was perfect. She understood the balance of when to give us space to have intimate time together while also timely bringing out our courses. She was never pushy and was light hearted and delightful. This is how service is in Europe, which made me feel very special and at home since i have spent many months in different parts of Europe. This also added to the authenticity of the experience for us and made me very happy and feel that enjoying our experience socializing and bonding ad a couple over good food is the most important thing rather than the wait staff trying to shove us out the door. In Europe they appreciate the emotional intimacy of going out to eat with loved ones regardless if occasion, which is an aspect i have missed terribly. I felt at home here. She made our date so special and took such good care of us. Anything we wanted she would allow, like keeping menus for future orders and allowed us to try little samples of chimi churri when we werent sure about which we would like since we had never had it before. She also allowed us so much freedom and flexibility of our culinary adventure, as she even said "this is your culinary adventure! This is your experience and you dont have to do anything you dont want to do. Just enjoy " She has a very positive and understanding energy and it just made our experience that much better. ❤️

(Part 2/2 of my review)

The food: out of this world good! Many of the ingredients like the olives are imported from Spain and the bread and many other menu items are made in house with said ingredients. There are many different ways to enjoy dining here. There is a huge selection of wines to sample from and there is even an option to do a wine tasting along with selecting the foods you want and as many as you want. This place is meant to be enjoyed by selected several different foods that come in smaller portions to be shared and enjoyed. There is the "snacks" section. The "small plates" and the "entrees." There are many options for the first 2 and only 4 entrees, but there is plenty of food and it is an unforgettable experience to have sampled these foods and shared them with my girlfriend. The food also comes out one at a time with the intention of enjoying each one while having intimate conversation in between dishes and looking forward to the next dish and experience together. You can even ask for it to arrive sooner or slower and it doesnt affect to quality negatively. This experience is food is much deeper than eating good food it was about the experience of sharing this moment together and bringing us closer. My girlfriend and I decided to order 4 of the "small plates": octopus, scallops, skirt steak and fried potatoes. 4 was plenty and we had leftovers which you can take to go. The octopus was cooked and seasoned in way I didn't even know I needed. The chorizo bites that came with where crispy yet chewy and delicious and complimented the octopus beautifully. The potatoes in the dish were also buttery, flaky and seasoned wonderfully with garlic and herbs that made my tastebuds sing. The scallops where cooked astonishingly great as well. They were tender and flavorful. Sweet and salty. It was served with a slaw of some kind that paired amazingly well with it and was definitely meant to be eaten at the same time with each bite of scallop. Last but not least the skirt steak and fried potatoes. Oh my god. The chimi churri that the steak was paired with was a match made in heaven. We highly recommend dipping the potatoes in it too! The potatoes had fresh greens that just made it feel completed with every single bite -- just incredible!

The prices: they weren't as high as I expected, but it isn't cheap either. It is worth every penny however and out bill between all 4 plates not including the tip was $84! We didnt get wine, so it depends on what you want. It was reasonable considering the amazing experience and we made sure and to give her a well deserved tip. I would have given her more if I had more! She deserved it all and was a fantastic waitress! I believe she was also the manager, and if she is, she is the best manager of any restaurant I have ever seen! Anyway, expect the prices to be anywhere from $12-16 to $22-28 a small plate or so. It really isn't bad for fine dining and it is definitely worth it!

Overall, the experience was unforgettable and was perhaps and arguably the best date of my entire life. It was our first time and we will absolutely be going back!

Thank you for reading!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Great food, we had a large group and sampled half the menu. Service was excellent from the start. Shrimp was superior ; eggplant tops; the pork on the main course was also good. Nice Spanish wines.

Amelia‘s Basque Restaurant continues to set the standard for fine food in Tulsa. It is interesting, eclectic, and always well presented. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive.

No one does it like Amelia and her staff. Amelia is seemingly always present, engaged and enthusiastic from top to bottom in her two restaurants. I believe it's her diligence that makes the experience at her restaurants far above all others in our market.

I’ve had an incredible experience both times I’ve been here. As someone who has grown up in Tulsa, the food far exceeds my expectations, and I am sooo so happy we have a restaurant of this caliber here. Every dish I’ve tried is pure art. Refined, thoughtful, balanced, curated. It’s great for curious minds and mouths. Something I’d anticipate finding in NYC, Chicago, Dallas etc.

The atmosphere is great, a little moody yet still vibrant, perfect for the pacing and style of cuisine. If someone took me on a date here, I would be thrilled.

The service I’ve had has been good both times, both during a busy service and more relaxed service.

Potentially new favorite date spot. It's a vibe and reminds my of vacations in the south of Spain. Highly recommend! Chef Levi was amazing.

??? Hasn’t opened yet I’m hoping for a great new place nearby so I can eat some more food and not die. Not sure if it’s chicken or what? I’m lucky I have no idea what cooking one or where one might be if I was really hungry and it had feathers. I need to Wikipedia’s that and leave the cooking to you all . Thank you ?
