Food was good, service was great! My favorite part was they have so many different choices for hot sauce.
Food, especially half priced ramen Thursday is wonderful.
It's amazing food, amazing price, the service and atmosphere is always fantastic.
I love coming here, I love the food. My only issue is they've gone from playing alt music to blasting pretty much exclusively anime openings and it honestly discourages me from coming in as often as I used to and I have yet to meet someone who enjoys it.
We absolutely loved the ramen and Boba!! He had the chicken and finished it before I'd eaten half lol my vegan ramen was delicious! Thank you for outstanding service in a clean and aesthetic environment for date night! :)
I would like to start by saying I have visited Roppongi 6 times since moving downtown, and tried nearly everything on the menu in that time. I want to love it because it is a small business and it is close to where I live but… there are some great things and things that leave room for improvement.
I do not enjoy the ramen. The website lists the pork belly ramen as coming with shoyu broth, based on the color and flavor I think this is incorrect it is more a tonkatsu. The soft egg’s quality is wildly inconsistent. The texture and flavor are never the same and it swings from tolerable to bitter and spoiled. The pork belly itself is tough and fairly bland. And comes in rather large chunks more than the cleanly rolled spiral I find from more traditional/authentic ramen shops. I think there is a lot of room for deviation from “tradition” and “authenticity” while maintaining quality- but Roppongi has missed that mark. I think the only time the product is worth the price is on Thursday when it is 1/2 off.
Furthermore The Banh-mi is served on the wrong bread and as such is often quite soggy before I can finish the sandwich. The sauce served with it is phenomenal though and certainly worth a try.
The appetizers are fairly good. The steak skewers have excellent flavor, but tend to be rather tough as well. At least theyre small bite sized chunks so you dont have to grind away at them for long. The crab gyoza is very spicy, but worth trying.
The staff is very kind and welcoming, but I have often had to correct my order because of missing items, or other small errors in preparation. I admire their commitment to the environment but charging extra for take out seems a bit absurd to me. I think it really comes down to them knowing that their atmosphere (very cute!) makes up for what the food lacks.
All in all- if your goal is a great bowl of ramen try elsewhere. If you want a cute place to sit and enjoy a decent boba beverage this is a marvelous place!
I have been as thorough and fair as I can be, and wrote the review I wish I had seen before walking in the door.
I won’t be going back, they’ve exhausted my 2nd chances. Perhaps you will have better luck.
The service was really good and the atmosphere the food didn’t taste right tho 😂
We love this place ! We come here 1-2 times a week for the past year and love the pork ramen and steak ramen !
Great service and atmosphere!!
Chicken rice teriyaki and pork belly ramen are Too salty.
Went there on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Seating is a little limited but there are plenty of barstools by the window facing the city which I liked. Was greeted by a big tray of cooked pork belly so I had to try it with the Ramen. Delicious! Enjoying my lunch and looking at the colourful flyers of other food items on the menu. Go try it!
