We have been going for years, the restaurant needs a little bit of updating. Food is always good, chefs do a good job.

We celebrated my daughter’s bday at Shoguns on the 15th. It’s a tradition in our family to celebrate at Shoguns. We had a large party and the staff handled it all so well. We had so many kids and the chef was so patient and friendly with them. It felt a little rushed, but I understand how busy it gets. This is our little celebration spot and we’ve been coming for 10 years. The girls love to throw change in the fountains and all the FIRE!

Terrible experience. Our waitress was horrible. Our chef was great and we made sure to give him a nice tip personally. Our waitress was very impatient and super pushy trying to rush us. Kept reminding us of the Bill and tapping it on the table. In the very beginning, I gave her a cake and asked her to bring it out with the candle lit at the end of the dinner for a family member, she ended up bringing it out in the container and everything still in the package. The candle wasn’t opened or anything. So Grandma just saw the cake put on the table without any surprise. Was absolutely ridiculous. I will never come back to this establishment because of her. She was super rude and at the end of it had the audacity to bring up if I was going to tip her. I said no and signed my receipt. Older Asian lady, this place needs to tighten up.

This place reminds me of Chuck E. Cheese. Filthy, floors feel like you are walking with velcro under your shoes.

Knife skills were fun to watch. Was ripped off by the lobster, half went to one of the single women at the table that didn't order lobster, he had to replace my filet because he gave it to another single woman that got mine and her sirloin she ordered. Was the only person that ordered fried rice so everyone else got steamed rice & fried rice, I just got the bowl of fried rice. Food was OK, waitress was good. Atmosphere is rundown, dirty, definitely needs a week long shutdown for maintenance and cleaning.

Disappointed to find they no longer do the foil to go containers and they no longer do story time with the ‘show’. When the food started being distributed, they added shrimp to our plates that we didn’t order and they charged for an additional order of scallops when we only got one. Because of all of the additions (unordered) the bill was about $40 more than it should have been.

Great experience. They seated us even though we didnt have a reservation. Great food. Good service. It's about 30-40 dollars a person if you get drinks. The warm sake was to die for.

Could have been a better experience, they did a few of the fun jokes, but it just seemed like the cook wasn't into it all that much. Not sure if the fun jokes were dialed down because they couldn't do it or they just didn't want to do it.. The dressing on the salad is way better than Tokyo Gardens dressing, but Tokyo Garden has the rice and noodles with the meal, Sho Gun only has the rice. Not my first pick between the two, but if someone chose Sho Gun, I wouldn't say no, but I'd suggest Tokyo Garden to see if they would change their mind or not.
