Went in there to celebrate my father's bday not long ago, and after waiting for probably a solid half hour, a server disinterestedly spoke with us to let us know it was his time to leave, but that he was supposed to take us. OK WEIRD. Then, he and another girl who seemed new "take care" of us. We couldn't get drink refills or basic things you might need after taking a few bites... the server who so desperately needed to leave didn't want us to play the game we were currently playing, and instead forcefully suggested a much HARDER game that seemed tedious to learn. We lingered a bit longer, thinking about picking out another game... when an owner/manager comes up to us and asks us to move somewhere else toward the back so that they may accommodate a large group. Sweet, so you need your paying customers to CLEAR THE WAY for a big group? We said to him, "um we were thinking about staying, but not now." I would never expect an experience so HORRIBLE from a restaurant OR a board game cafe. I think we, quite literally, got the worst of both worlds. Can't see myself recommending shuffles or returning. I worked as a server for over 10 years, and this is easily among the most bizarre and regrettable experience I've had in ANY establishment. Food was fine and the games selection is awesome, but how could you look past all the bad... I can play board games and eat at home, save my money, and not feel like I'm taking up someone's valuable space.

Great game selection, satisfyingly eclectic and modern ambiance, and reasonable prices. Will definitely come back and test out games before future purchases.

This place has a fun family friendly vibe. 7$ per person to play as many board games as you want. Me and my friends really just came for dinner to celebrate my birthday and to try it out. We love coffee shops and places to eat out where we can chat. We ended up not wanting to play games. It started getting a little loud and tables are pretty close together. I kept wondering if our conversations were annoying to the family next to us. It literally felt like they were a part of our table...only like 6 inches apart. I feel like it's not really a coffee, tea, drink and chat sort of place. It's much more of come with friends or family with intent to pay 7$ a person to play board games. Cool concept, was pretty full when we left so I'm assuming very popular. Seems like a great place to make memories and spend quality time. Giving only 4 starts because the food was just ok, did not really enjoy a family being seated so close to us, and it seemed a bit pricey for the type of food that was served. I do think it is pretty good overall for the atmosphere and uniqueness they are trying to create. Others looking for this sort of thing will love it!

Some friends invited us here for lunch on Saturday. I had no idea this spot existed but glad we were introduced! They have a full food and bar menu. Currently, if you check in on Yelp (which why would you not?) there is an offer for a free drip coffee or mimosa! I tried the 'Fox in the Forest' mocktail. It's labeled as seasonal but they had the ingredients to make it for me. Zero proof rum (this tasted just like regular rum, it even burned a little bit), Pumpkin Butternut Spice Syrup, and Ginger Beer. If you like rum, but don't like how rum treats you, give this a try. For food, my husband and I split the 'Patchwork' pizza (build your own) with white sauce, mushrooms, green peppers, and black olives. This was phenomenal!! I was honestly shocked at the quality of their pizza. I kept telling everyone how amazing it was lol. The crust was even good - cooked perfectly, 10/10 will eat again! Our friends ordered the 'Rex' pizza (meat lovers) and they seemed to really enjoy it. They also ordered a Caesar salad. Their daughter ordered the breakfast burrito and a banana pudding milkshake. The table shared an order of 'Cinnamon Knots' that were good but not great. I think the dipping sauce was missing but not sure that would have made that much of a difference. We played a couple of games while we were there. The cost is $7 a person for a game pass, and you have access to unlimited games. I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of games they had lol. There were nostalgic games from my childhood, more current games, trivia, strategy, silly games, serious games, games for group and couples, just absolutely everything you could think of. They have a QR code available that leads to a game guide if you need help narrowing down your choices. Our server said they are in the process of updating the guide but they were available if we needed assistance. Overall a good experience. The pizza was excellent, service was ok (there was a bottle filler near our table so we got our own water refills), and I wish we had had more time to take full advantage of our $14 worth of game passes but not a big deal. We only ended up playing 2 short children's games while we were there, after eating and trying to clear off a spot for the games to go (lots of plates to clear off). Side note - when you're done with a game, put it on the return bookshelf instead of trying to put it back in its spot. This helps the staff with game organization. We'll definitely be back for the pizza! And games if friends want to go with us.

Visiting for the weekend, and this was a fun first stop! A cozy, clean, and relaxed atmosphere, and all of the staff were very friendly. We got some cocktails along with the truffle shuffle pizza, and everyone was good. Great for a fun date night!

I really enjoyed my visit. Our server had a very bright personality and was very helpful when it came to learning how everything worked. unfortunately , my son started to feel sick so we had to leave earlier than we wanted, but because we weren't there long, they waved the $7 game fee. I definitely plan on going back.

I’ve been here a total of three times, every time has been absolutely horrible service. Tonight being the worst. all the board games are damaged missing pieces or just in rough shape. Our server would show up once every 30 to 45 minutes. I finally went down to the bar to order a drink and the bartender, very rudely asked if I had a table. I said yes, they told me to order from the waitress. Might sound like I’m overreacting, I would be fine if he just said the I need to order from the server but dude definitely had an attitude, at the very least he was upset or annoyed I came to the bar asked for a drink like any normal person that hasn’t seen their server for a while. I closed my tab, refusing to buy any more drinks after that. the waitress was very kind just never come by our table. We were there from 7:30pm to 11pm and we would of easily spent way more money if she was coming by more often so I should be more thankful honestly, she saved all of us money lolBesides all that the atmospheres is great. But at the end of the day if you want to spend $150 as a group, you might as well spend $20 in a board game get you a 30 case of beer and a bottle of liquor and party at home. Just my opinion.

Didn't get the food so can't rate it as we went after we ate dinner. Sat at the bar with my wife and a friend. Drinks were great and service/conversation with the bar staff was amazing. Game selection was amazing. Definitely will go back here when I'm downtown and looking for something to do.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDloved our family gathering there to play games, eat good food and have fun fun fun!!Games were clean and highly organizedOur server was over the top friendly and suggested some great games for our kiddos. We got a mix of entrees and appetizers - the pimento sauce in the charcuterie board was best I’ve ever eaten. Sampler was also great, sauces were amazing.Bathrooms super clean and while packed, we didn’t feel it.
