Better than I expected. The service was very good. The food was outstanding, quality and taste of the food was great. The portion sizes we very generous. The environment was better than I expected. Our severer Izzy ? Was very pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The service at Fixins is always friendly and courteous. I ordered the fried chicken dinner with mac & cheese, candied yams, and a biscuit. The chicken arrived piping hot, fresh out of the grease. It was seasoned extremely well and nice and crispy. The mac & cheese was also seasoned very well, the texture was nice and it was delicious. The yams were screaming! They were extra delicious last night. And the biscuit is always a nice soft special treat, especially with the grape jelly butter. All in all, an excellent meal!

SLOW.. Slow to be seated, slow to take orders, slow to receive drinks, slow to receive dinner. We ordered a family 8 piece with 2 sides..$62$$$$ Asked us for specific pieces, wanted all dark 4legs 4thighs.. took 40mins to get served, bar drinks came out with dinner when they ordered 1st thing.. Chicken came out 2 breast, 3 wings, 1 thigh, 1 leg... We had a concert to get to and we're just ready to get out of there. Chicken was good, but I have to say I would not waste my time or money on there again.

Had reservation, still waited 20 minutes to be seated! Got seated, waited another 15 minutes before putting in drink order...waited another 10 minutes, no drinks...ended up walking out. I will say, my wife contacted manager and said they were short staffed and did offer to make it right. Will give it another try. The foodie, 918 agent was in the house same time...interested to see his review.

Nice gem in downtown Tulsa. Both the food and drinks were good. The oxtail, greens, and mac n cheese stood out in my meal. We had the fried deviled eggs and artichoke dip as well. The service and conversation with our server Kiara were great. Soft R&B was playing in the background and set the vibe just right. The place was clean and well lit. Can't wait to try something new next time

First time there and we ordered the gumbo (5 star), shrimp & grits (4.5 stars) and two cornmeal fish fry ( 5 stars) with sides of turnip greens (10 stars best I've ever had and I love turnip greens ), red beans and rice (4 stars nice spice), fried okra (1 stars since it was whole it wasn't crispy and a little slimy), Mac n cheese (2 stars, gummy needed to be more melted). The portions are large and none of us finished our meals. Very tasty over all and we all loved the fried deviled eggs. We will definitely be back.

I've been a vegetarian for over 15 years. Most restaurants that sell vegan/vegetarian just phone it in- same salads and processed meat substitutes. Slaps is the opposite, they are amazing! Their plant based menu is real food made with love. Their jackfruit ribs are mind blowing- I've enjoyed everything I've tried. My new favorite spot.

My wife liked the fried chicken and I liked the smothered fried chicken. The peach cobbler was good, although my wife thought it was a bit too sweet. Our service was good. We appreciate the lady at our hotel who recommended Fixins' We would recommend this restaurant for soul food.
