When I visit Utica Square, Stonehorse is always a great place to eat, except this last Saturday... My new wife and her children had never been to Stonehorse and I wanted to share their food with her and her kids. We were seated right away and brought water. A gentleman came to our table after a longer than normal wait and announced he was our waiter and took our drink order. We had at least 30 min to look over the menu before he even arrived. We were ready to order, but he only took the Bar order. When he delivered the drinks, he said he would be right back. We waited for another 30 minutes as he took drinks to 4 other tables, who had been seated after we had been seated. I finally asked one of the other waitresses if we could order. I was finally introduced to our own waitresses who didn't even know we were her table to wait on. So we're now at about hour sitting at a table and we have yet to place our order. The waitress took our order and we were a little dismayed by the wait, but we were looking forward to the meal. After a moderate wait I was brought my salad and the family had an appetizer. After we finished our appetizers, we waited another 45 minutes and we had still not recieved our main meals. At least 4 tables who had been seated after us had been served and had LEFT THE RESTAURANT, and we had not even seen a single Entrée. We finally just asked the waitress to bring us a check for what we had been served. They were making excuses and saying the food was about to be plated. We had suffered enough of their ineptitude and we stood up to leave. Before we could do so, another waitress came to our table trying to make excuses and then a third waitress joined in to harass me and my family for not staying for the food and leaving. I was adamant and I was starting to feel attacked, three waitresses were at our table, and defensive. My wife even jumped in to rescue me from their harangment. Finally after some heated words from their staff, I believe it was a manager who finally comp'ed us for the whole meal. (One salad and a basket of French Fries).
Needless to say, my wife and I will never be returning to the Stonehorse for a meal. I think a public acknowledgement and apologies are in order for their lack of service and harassment after the fact. Very poor Stonehorse Cafe, very very poor.

Went for tea. All the little plates were disappointing. I'm all for trying food, but the flavors described just fell flat.
Good service, though.

Utica square is kind of an expensive area, chicy. I thought it was an expensive cafe. I think they make their own everything....they had some vegetable and fruit. They claim to be a bakery also, but I only found a few baked goods...

Stonehorse Cafe is great! The folks behind the bar are just lovely people and very attentive! I really like the atmosphere and it’s a great place to meet friends and co-workers for discussions. It’s never super loud like some places and you can actually have a conversation and enjoy some nice adult beverages! Lastly, Kyndall behind the bar is the very best! But, all the staff are great!

We order often from the Stonehorse market. It's kind of touch and go! Mostly good food except for they put mushrooms in so many things and you can't tell there's mushrooms in there. I wish they would disclose that on the packaging at the Stonehorse market! We Recently had the chicken pot pie & It was absolutely horrible! The macaroni and cheese was amazing!!

Horrible experience. Got a table quickly. Staff jumbled. After half hour ordered. Food never came. Left an hour later.

We had a wonderful experience here. Every dish was fantastic. Focaccia with Burrata Cheese, Tomato Bisque, Tom Kha Seafood and Salmon dishes were all some of the most delicious dishes we have had in a while.
Definitely 1st class food and my thanks to the chef. Our server was fantastic. Even though she was busy, she did a great job tending to us.
Highly recommend this restaurant. Disregard negative reviews

If you can’t make something don’t say you can make something. I ordered an ice latte and it tasted like melted ice, extremely watered down cream, with barely a hint of the espresso. It was very disgusting needless to say and I had to send it back.

Went out to a nice meal with some friends here. Had the trout with an almond crust. It was incredibly dry and not very good flavor. The lemons cooked as part of the entrée were also confusing. Another person got a burger, it was so gigantic it looked like a movie prop. It's one thing to make a burger that's really awesome. It's another thing to make something that's inedible because it's so large that it is not physically able to be eaten.

It was incredibly loud and our waiter could not hear us, that is when he was checking in, which was rather infrequently. There was very little ability of hearing each other at the table, considering the volume of the place. The mocktail was incredibly overpriced and not even stirred up, just a syrupy mess. Considering the cost and the rather underwhelming experience, I won't be coming back. I live in San Francisco now, and I've gotten used to places with well done entrées, attentive service, and a tolerable volume in the dining room. The decorating in this place is a bit bizarre, too much and no real motif. I remember when it was simple and the blue salad was really good years ago. But now it seems like kind of a mismatch of energy and overall the experience was pretty subpar.

An Appreciation Fee? Are you serious??

What a joke. Avoid at all costs.
