Chalkboard remains a family favorite for special occasions. It is ... elegant. Our waiter has waited on us several times over the years, which seems to be a strong testimonial by itself. The menu features options for everyone's palette. One of our party had the filet, has before, and noted the consistency of quality between the two steaks. Two in the party had salmon pasta dish and commented on how the pasta did not get overwhelmed with the salmon flavor, retaining its own taste. The fourth in the party had the bone-in pork chop which was fork tender, juicy and filled with flavor. Salads were shared and the table-side sharing was fun and cordial as our waiter talked us through what he was making sure each party got from the shared salad. The complimentary bread is always a treat - there is a temptation to over do it. The wine list is solid and we enjoyed both a cabernet and a moscato. The meal ended with the apple crisp which was savored long after there was any to actually eat! This has the feel of a dining experience you might not find any more - familiar, cozy, elegant, and without being rushed. We cannot rave enough about this experience.

We went to The Chalkboard for a date night and had such a great experience. The food was absolutely amazing, the service was excellent, and our server was friendly, attentive, and made the night even better. The atmosphere was quiet, welcoming, and had the perfect vibe for a relaxed date night. We will definitely be back!

We had a little weekend getaway from the kids and had our date night dinner here. It's was worth every penny. I ordered the pan seared fish, which happened to be the Sea Bass, and it was outstanding. My husband ordered a medium rare filet and it was cooked to perfection. We will definitely come back here. Definitely 5 stars.

We went for brunch. Food was good. The coffee tasted like it was a few hours old. The service was below average

Our server, Collin, was great! He made several recommendations from on and off the menu, and we ordered some of both. We had the short ribs and the Chilean Sea Bass. They were both excellent! Collin's service was outstanding! We didn't loiter but was very attentive, asked if we had any needs or questions, very polite, knowledgeable about the menu, and prompt. This was our first time to visit but it definitely won't be the last.

The food and specialty drinks were fantastic. Service was amazing and the atmosphere was really great. It's expensive, but merits the price. Wonderful for a date night or night out with friends.

Went to Chalkboard for New Years Eve. Beautiful design, atmosphere, and ambiance - just what we were looking for, until the food arrived. I ordered Salmon Piccata which was really Salmon Alfredo - no lemon flavor, no white wine sauce, and over salted Salmon. My husband order the 10-hour braised short rib which was completely over cooked - it looked like a brick on the plate. Even my daughter's filet lacked seasoning according to her. For a $$$ restaurant, I had high expectations but the food came up short. I doubt that we will be back despite the atmosphere.

Our server was extremely slow and inattentive. We waited almost 30 minutes for a drink and were only there for appetizers and drinks (beer and wine only). Was told the bartender had recently suffered a concussion so was moving slow. Not sure as to why another bartender wasn't scheduled for NYE

My wife and I went for our anniversary. Somewhat underwhelmed by the experience as a whole.

This restaurant serves amazing food! The staff are also amazing. Very professional and very high quality experience. We WILL be back, likely over and over.

This was not an experience I was expecting from a well regarded restaurant. I was embarrassed that my family had to spend Christmas dinner at a very poorly executed buffet. The prime rib was raw, the buffet, both hot and cold was poorly displayed and obviously rushed. The selection was very limited and lacked imagination, and the service staff were embarrassed to be a part of the event by the lack of questions, table management, or eye contact. For a $400+ bill for four people which included a glass of wine and 3 waters, this was an extremely poor value for money! I will be pursuing a refund within the next 24 hours

Our experience was excellent at The Chalkboard Christmas buffet. As true anytime during the year, the service level was excellent for Christmas Day when several hundred people were guests of this restaurant.

I've had excellent experience at The Chalkboard in the past, but I do not this time with the Buffet.

The event is marketed as an upscale experience with great service and vibes. Its really just a hotel buffet that is run inefficiently with some rough service and mandatory 20% gratuity. The food was semi-decent but a lot of the items would run out and not get refilled very quickly. The buffet took place in the small lobby where you waited in line for 15-20 minutes stepping out of the way all the time for people coming through. It just felt very inefficient. The food had good flavor for the most part though. In the end, the Christmas dinner was a nice idea as something to do that was different. I do respect the hotel for offering something on the holiday for people who have differing situations. However, $75 a head and a mandatory 20% tip for only seeing the server once and having to wait an hour and then go find someone to request to pay made the cost feel not worth it. The idea is nice but could definitely use improvement. I would not do again.

Food was cold. Buffet + stairs to dining area not optimal. Looking for other options for the future
