I called and Tuesday and ordered 4 dozen donuts for my son’s birthday party on Saturday 9/6. We live in Oklahoma City and was having it at The Gathering Place. I tried calling a few times that morning with no answer (it was Saturday and I assumed they were busy). When we arrived there was a sign on the door saying they were close for a family emergency. I completely understand things happen. However, for a large order and for a birthday party (as I mentioned on the phone) a text at least would have been nice. I didn’t find out until nearly 11 am on a Saturday. We didn’t have cupcakes or a cake, my 4 year old wanted donuts. I had to scramble and call multiple places to find someone who could do 4 dozen that late in their day. This caused us to be late to the party we were hosting.

I'm glad I found out about this place, as I hadn't noticed in on my first few drives past the area. Cool little shop, and I love what they've put up art-wise on the walls. I've only done TGTG with them, and was initially slightly worried, as the items they had didn't look super exciting. I was SO wrong, and the flavors and fillings they had inside belied that dull exterior. Donut holes with sweet fillings, hot dogs and burgers within pastry exteriors. They got me good, and I'm looking to come back.
Edit: More pictures, including different kinds of fills in the donut holes, a bacon donut, and more variety in donuts in general.
Also, one thing I appreciate about everything they do is that they don't overdo the flavors, yet no single item is without identity. Not too sweet, not too salty, but there's something going for each one in terms of unique identity. The only *slight* weakness in comparison is then the breading, as it is not as outstanding as the rest of it. That said, not an issue.

I've been trying to figure out what shop has the best donuts. Today I tried this place and it has been my least favorite. I tend to order the same thing every time. I'll start off with the original glaze. It was just an okay donut. The cinnamon roll was the one I liked the most, however the glaze is too sweet on all of the donuts. I order a chocolate long john and they gave me a maple. Didn't realize it til I pulled it out of the bag, so that was on me. I've never been a fan of the maple flavored. Last I always love a good apple fritter. This one is the worst one I've had. It was small dense and dry. Hardly any apple in it. They are also the most expensive donuts I've purchased so far.

My daughter said “This is the best donut I’ve ever had in my life!” The do nuts were super fresh & fluffy. The (I’m assuming) owner was very sweet, helpful & good with my kids. I will definitely come back when visiting the area again.
