Had an amazing dinner tonight at the Hemingway. I made a mistake with my reservation and they were able to slot us in at the bar after a short wait. Even had a lovely conversation with a neighbor. We had the pot a feu, pei oysters on the half shell, and a ribeye with truffle mashed potatoes. Topped off the amazing meal with pot au creme. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a very confusing and frustrating experience. We called probably 5 days ahead to change our reservation from 8 to 8:30 but day of I got 3 text messages and a phone call asking if I was coming at 8. Once there the host acted like we didn’t have reservations, said a table wasn’t available right away and asked for our name and phone. I mentioned it was on my reservation and he said the reservation has the wrong phone number and that the phone number was “pissed off about it”. We sat at a table shortly after and we were they asked if we were celebrating anything and I said yeah I put that information on the reservation and that it was our anniversary.
Several other small things that I wouldn’t expect when paying upwards of $300 for this special occasion:
Nobody asked to take our coats, but after the table next to us arrived they did ask them.
Been to many nicer restaurants and never had my appetizer leftovers placed on the table for the entire meal.
And after all that, reminding them in the reservation and verbally about us celebrating our anniversary they forgot it.
Overall the food was good but the service across the board needs some presence of mind ….we felt like an afterthought.

Dang. I was running late when I got to Hemingway, but AK immediately took care of me and made the whole process easy. Jose handled the kitchen flawlessly, and stepped in to make sure everything stayed on track. Tyler, the service, runs a seriously impressive stuff. The coordination, communication, and attention to detail were outstanding. Honestly, amazing and chill service from start to finish. Honestly, better than the other stuff in town.

Great service great food. Parker was excellent. The fillet and lobster crown was perfect. Ramsey would be proud of the scallops.

Service was nice and the decor is intimate and beautiful but I was hoping more from the drinks and main dishes.
The scallops were good but very small, the steak was ok, and the prosecco quickly flattend. It could be because it was poured in a wide rim glass or because it wasn't chilled enough.
I did love the bread, butter, bone marrow starter, and the sides. I would go again but try a different main dish and drink.

After a disappointing experience on my birthday, my husband and I were hesitant to return to the restaurant, but tonight completely changed our perspective! The service was outstanding—everyone was incredibly attentive and made us feel so welcome. The food was equally impressive, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was perfect, creating a truly memorable evening. We’re thrilled with how everything turned out and can’t wait to make this our monthly dinner spot! ❤️
We visited for my birthday dinner with a 7:00 PM reservation. Upon arriving at 6:50 PM, we were told our table wasn’t ready and were directed to the bar. The bar service was prompt, but we waited until 7:25 PM to be seated, despite noticing other parties seated before us. The dining area felt cramped, with tables too close together, making conversations around us intrusive.
Our server took 10 minutes to greet us, and we couldn’t place our order until nearly 8:00 PM. Food arrived about 30+ minutes later and we left close to 9 PM. The lamb starter was burnt, the beef short rib had a bitter taste, and the pasta was underwhelming. For a $140+ meal, the experience and food quality didn’t meet expectations. The only good thing we had here were the drinks. We’re unlikely to return.

Love the entrance and the drama of the place. Unfortunately the bone marrow was served undercooked and cold, ordered a fillet and got a ribeye. But they fixed it as it happened. Great wine list. And the key lime pie is amazing !

[Edited] $230 tab and your steak tasted like salt on 10/8. The waiter with the beard and little black top hat… in my opinion could have used some common sense and discretion or use the photo we had of her ID to verify the age of my guest who was international and clearly we’re all over 21. The law does not dictate HOW you verify age because I researched this. Most nice places I go to tend to show more discretion or common sense or don’t even ID us at all. The little things and some accommodation go a long ways. Even if you’re technically right here he could have been more apologetic or sympathetic. There was no apology or sympathy shown here, just attitude. He was snippy. I think your waiter could have done better. Then the bartenders at Sidecar said they’ve heard other complaints. Thank you for the offer to reach out but I’m good.

Went here for my 2 year anniversary and everything was amazing. This was our second time here and we can confirm that everything has been consistent in terms of service and quality of food. Emily was our server and we appreciated her being attentive and friendly. Our dinner consisted of warm bread/butter (complimentary), bone marrow, ribeye steak, brussel sprouts, truffle mash, red wine and finished off with the cheesecake. Thank you to Emily and the rest of the Hemingway Team for making our anniversary special. We are already looking forward to our next dinner there!
