Tokyo Garden of Tulsa left a disappointing impression during my recent visit. On Sunday, October 19, we arrived at 8:39 PM, just 21 minutes before their stated closing time of 9 PM. Despite this, the staff informed us that they had already stopped seating, which felt frustrating and unfair. What added to the annoyance was seeing other customers still inside the restaurant, which made their refusal to serve us even less understandable. The inconsistency between their posted hours and actual service left a negative experience. Based on this, I will not be returning, as I believe a business should respect the hours it advertises and treat all customers fairly.

Hibachi seat, not bad. Ordered filet and scallops, seafood good but thinking they served me a regular steak and not the filet

When you walk in, there is a pretty strong smell of cleaner- or something that smells like cleaner. The restaurant itself was pretty run down inside, and the bathrooms were disgusting. I'm not sure if they ever get cleaned. The service wasn't too bad. I ordered a glass of wine, however our server never asked me if I needed anything or wanted another glass, but she did ask everyone else at the table. Everyone that ordered the steak said it wasn't very good. This was our first time there, and probably our last.

It was a fun experience as always! The service was awesome and the chef we had was funny and he did a great job at keeping everyone's attention!

The chef did not say 2 words, was not active at all. Was one of the worst experiences I have had with you all and highly doubt I'll be back. 1. Chef terrible, 2. Show didn't happen for us, food had zero flavor, too pricy for what was received.

We made reservations at 6pm, but arrived at 5:15. We were seated immediately at the table. The waitress stayed on top of our drinks throughout our dinner and the food was amazing! Food selected: Sakura šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„

We have dined at Tokyo Garden the last few years for our grandchildren’s birthdays. We’ve had wonderful experiences until this last time. We had a reservation for 6:00 on a Friday night. We weren’t seated until 6:15, of which we didn’t mind the wait. But I think the later seating put them behind on their reservation schedule. Therefore, we were rushed through our whole meal. Our kids love interacting with the chef, which did not happen at all. He hurried through his routine, barely speaking. We had brought a birthday cake to be served after our meal, but before we had finished eating, they brought out a tray of sherbet. Of course, when the kids saw the ice cream they didn’t want to eat any more of their dinner. The staff acted like they were surprised that we hadn’t finished our meal yet. After hurriedly eating the ice cream, and filling our to go boxes that were promptly brought, we just took the cake home. We all love the food there, and have always had a good time. I guess this was an off night, or maybe weekends are too busy to take time with the customers.

Great experience and food was delicious. I’ve been to many other Hibachi restaurants and I can say that I’ve left a few of them still hungry… Not the case here! The staff, food and the vibe will keep me going back for years to come.

Tokyo Garden accommodated my family of 13 people. Service was friendly and professional. I have been coming to this location since the middle 1990's and have always enjoyed it.

The outside of the building is rundown and not well maintained. Upon entering the front door, the smell of Lysol cleaner is strong. It followed me to the table.
The service was good by the waitress.
The food was not seasoned and tasteless. Very bland. The salad was from a package from Walmart starting to turn brown. When the chef put the vegetables on the grill he said, "Japanese vegetables from Walmart".
They were bland.
Noodles... Bland
Meat not seasoned... Added salt and it helped.
Overall... Certainly not worth the $100 we paid.

Great saki and great filet minion on a bed of friend rice. I said medium rare they cooked it perfectly and seasoned so well. Highly recommend.
