We had a reservation for 8:00, didn't get sat down until 8:30, they brought the soup and salad out at 9:00, didn't start cooking our food until 9:40 then we were out by 10:00, they closed at 9:00.
Rice seemed like it was already precooked and had the soy sauce in it, our steaks were full of fat and not fully cooked to be medium rare, and the salmon was paper thin.
Seemed really unorganized and like they were unprepared for our table.
Our main wait was for the hibachi grill to cool down because they had left it on longer than supposed to when trying to preheat.
Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, even if there wasn't a long wait or any sort of apologies for them messing things up, food just wasn't all that good for how much they're charging.

Fun interaction with your cook. Great food, large portions, and entertaining watching the food being prepared.

Had reservation for 4 Jan 18th 7pm and finally sat 10 minutes late. No big deal about that but then waited patiently for drink order. After 40 minutes of being seated and only drinks, no menus, and the waitress and host back and forth on who would be serving us that night, we left. They were not organized, apologetic, nor did they act like they cared to serve us at all. We come here frequently, but tonight was poor service.

3 stars overall due to freezing while seating at our table and the automatic 20% large group gratuity. It doesn't make sense. Even if we had come as two, they would have added others to the table and make it the same number as we had.
Food was good and fresh but cooked too much soy sauce or teriyaki sauce which over flavored the food.
Have to say we like the flavor at Shogun over Tokyo.

disappointed. The flavors all ran together, and it just tasted like everything came from one big pot. Our waitress couldn’t care less that we existed, and the chef treated us like a number not a name. However, we did notice that the chef behind us was much more enthusiastic to be there.

The place had a great vibe, but with so many options in Tulsa, we won’t be back unless the other spots are absolutely horrendous

Fun hibachi restaurant with some good sushi. Nice place for a group or family dinner were everyone can talk and be entertained. The menu has a good variety so thier should be something you will like.

Very disappointed with our New Year's hibachi visit. The chef provided no entertainment or interaction, which defeats the purpose of a hibachi grill experience. On top of that, the presentation was poor and the food quality did not meet expectations. Not worth the price.

Our server must have been new. He didn't do any kind of tricks or entertainment at all. He also burnt the rice and shrimp. We watched the table next to us for entertainment.

Prices were good for what you get but we must have gotten the intern... not entertaining, barely did a volcano... no flame spinning stuff... but overall nice experience and I'd go back.

Tokyo Garden was good, the chef did an excellent job, the food was enjoyable. The bartender was not the best. Would have been 5 stars otherwise.

The best place to have a meal. Whether your wanting sushi or hibachi. They even put on a show while cooking your food hibachi style.

Tokyo Garden of Tulsa left a disappointing impression during my recent visit. On Sunday, October 19, we arrived at 8:39 PM, just 21 minutes before their stated closing time of 9 PM. Despite this, the staff informed us that they had already stopped seating, which felt frustrating and unfair. What added to the annoyance was seeing other customers still inside the restaurant, which made their refusal to serve us even less understandable. The inconsistency between their posted hours and actual service left a negative experience. Based on this, I will not be returning, as I believe a business should respect the hours it advertises and treat all customers fairly.
