Great place to go! Loved the atmosphere with Rt 66 history, Elvis statue inside. Betty Boop, big boy etc. outside. Very was very good as was the service. A lot of locals were there, they greeted them by name when they came in, so obviously locals like it.

The lady had an omelet which was very good. I had fried chicken special. Came with two sides and two pieces. The breast was boneless which was a surprise. Wing was excellent, breast was a little over cooked. Flavor was great though. Also had green beans and hand made onion rings. Beans were excellent and rings had some breading as chicken. Rings were also excellent. I got a gravy on the side and it was very tasty.

The wife got a mushroom and Swiss with fresh cooked potato chips. I got an Indian Taco. Both were delicious.

Stopped here on Tuesday, 6.10.2025, and the place was closed. However, there were enough nostalgic Route 66 photo opportunities to enjoy. The next I pass through Vanita, Oklahoma, I'll make sure that it's on a day when the Café is open.

We had a delightful time at the Hi-Way Cafe. While traveling Route 66, we stopped here. They have an all-day breakfast menu. The food was great, and the service was exceptional. This is a family-owned and family-run restaurant. The pride in the business is evident. One of the daughters, Madelyn, was our waitstaff. She was friendly and enthusiastic about the restaurant. There is a ‘63 Rambler in the restaurant. It has won a Guinness World Record for having the most stickers on a vehicle. This was a family and community effort.
We highly recommend the Hi-Way Cafe.

This place is neat. Great service and the food came out fast. They have a car that's in Guinness book of world records which was very cool. And all the cool statues make great photo ops! I've drove by this place a hundred times and never stopped but always wanted to. Today I did and I must say, it was soooo worth it! If you're driving by and they're open... Stop! You won't regret it!!
