“Our server Noah had great suggestions for our first time in. We really enjoyed all the food. We got the lobster rangoon (there are only 4), beef udon, shrimp and crab roll, bluefin roll, and the Awaji dragon roll. Oh and the pomegranate martini.“

From the moment you walk in, the service is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming — this is a family-run business that cares deeply about their customers. The sushi is fresh and creative, the pho is absolutely delicious, and the owners are always developing new concepts alongside their daily menu. I had chicken pho with a long simmer bone broth that had max flavor. See pics! ❤️
They at times can host special private events upon booking request!

“Loved it here! Low lights, cozy vibe. Big booths seating. Super nice staff. High quality delicious food with very reasonable prices!! This is now in my regular lunch rotation. I didn't get pics because it was so good I ate it all before I remembered 😆 I recommended the Hungry roll and the gluten free soy sauce (upon request).
Edit- It was so good, I went back for dinner 🤣 got photos this time. Monkey brains appetizer is the way to go! Tempura veggies were okay, pretty thick cuts of vegetables. Hungry Rolls is amazing as well as the Pink Lady.“

“Food is usually really good. Tonight I waited an hour for my to go order which was fine but I don’t appreciate paying full price and not getting mushrooms or sprouts. My egg roll order was short and the yum yum sauce tasted funny. Won’t stop me from going back, just think you guys can do way better.“

“I’ve never been here before and decided to try it out for all of the 1 star reviews the Karen’s left. First off they brought out our menus as soon as we sat down and took our drink order. The waiter came back 37 seconds later (yes I timed it) with our ice cold drinks. Another 5 minutes went by and he came to take our order. The food came out 15 minutes later and it was very good! A couple other things I notice people mentioned. There was no sign of a small child running around disturbing customer. There was in fact dust on the tv tho. Nonetheless the fish in the tank seemed very lively and happy. The workers were very kind and considerate as they came back often to refill our drinks. I’d say the Karen’s reviews are busted! I love this place and small family run business. Great food, better people, and an experience I’ll come back often for :)“

“You walk into a very clean well designed building. The staff is amazing and helpful with any questions you have. The service is FAST! As soon as we was done ordering and went to sit down they already had our appetizer ready and shortly after that our dish. The price is crazy for the amount of food you get and the quality of it. “One thing about Ichiban is that it's going to hit EVERY SINGLE TIME. I order to go often to work when I want something light, fresh, and delicious. The poke bowls are highly customizable and are perfect every time. I don't know why I took so long to write a review. “Smelled so clean, staff was amazingly inviting and not bothersome at all, the food was more than delicious, and the prices were very fair! The cherry on top was that our waitress asked US if we wanted drinks to go. We didnt have to ask her! ❤️ We did go on a Tuesday so Im not sure how they are with a busier crowd but we loved it. I’ve been coming to Sarku Japan at Penn Square Mall since I moved to Oklahoma back in 2015 — and it’s still one of my favorite food spots in the entire OKC area! 🍗
Their chicken teriyaki plate with white rice, vegetables, and extra sauce is unbeatable. The flavor is rich, the portions are generous, and the quality is super consistent every time. It instantly reminded me of the variety of food I enjoyed living in Los Angeles — which was hard to find here back then, especially beyond fast food or Tex-Mex.
Even though Penn Square Mall has expanded and now offers more food choices, Sarku Japan still stands out as my #1. They also serve beef and shrimp options, and you can customize with noodles or fried rice (small upcharge but worth it!).
Honestly, my only complaint? I wish they had more locations throughout the OKC metro! If I had the capital, I’d open a spot myself. It’s that good. 💯
If you’re at the mall or just craving some top-tier teriyaki, this place is a must-try!

“First time here and by far one of my favorite hibachi grills I’ve been to. First off our chef was amazing and funny and made it a true experience. Second the prices for a hibachi restaurant were reasonable and not outrageous. Third their food incredible and the portion sizes are bigger than what I’ve had at other Japanese steakhouses. I highly recommend this place.“

“Edmond’s best kept secret. The food is always fresh and delicious. The intentionally friendly staff remember your face and story. The owners are always on the floor. I also love the value and getting in and out quickly is a huge plus. Always a great experience.“

“Shogun is the best Japanese hibachi restaurant in town, hands down. Top notch food and service in a traditional environment. Semi-private dining, which i greatly prefer to standard open floor seating. Arrive early and relax in their uniquely atmospheric full-service lounge with a wide selection of import and domestic beer, as well as a delightful signature cocktail menu. Reservations required. Dinner service takes about an hour and a half from seating to dessert, so it's best to book before 7:30pm. For those unfamiliar with traditional hibachi, it is customary to offer a gratuity your chef directly, so bring cash. Shogun is a fantastic choice for any special occasion as they can easily accommodate groups of up to 20. Enjoy!“
