So my husband came to get some food today at the Canbe Foods in Scarborough and he bought 25 string hopper along with rotties and Briyani. They didn’t give us the 10 rotties that we ordered. And we asked them if everything is there and the guy said he put everything there. Moreover, the string hopper that we got had some kind of white stuff on top. I’m really not sure what’s that thing is. This is really disgusting!! I’m really disappointed with their poor food handling...read full review
Low point of Covid shutdown was when Canbe shut their doors. Best veggie samosas ever. I eat them all on the drive home! Open again soon, please!!

Canbe Foods offers a variety of dishes like spicy samosas, rolls, and veg/meat biryani. The biryani portion has decreased recently, now only serving one, and the way it's made has changed. While the vegetable samosas are still enjoyable and the spinach cheese samosa is wondrous, the chicken samosas and rolls have seen a decline in quality, and the mutton roll has no meat. The Scarborough location is preferred for its freshness and more food options compared to this one. Despite the changes, Canbe Foods used to have the best samosa deal, with 4 or 5 for a dollar, and the tamarind sauce is delicious. The restaurant atmosphere seems dark and dull, but the staff are always friendly, kind, and work hard to keep the line moving. The kuttu roti and biryani are also pretty on point, though recent recipe changes and price increases have affected the overall value of the food.
