Shame about the negative reviews - the food here is excellent. Located in Pickering Village, J’s Place offers dishes with their unique Jamaican twist. We’ve ordered here plenty of times and have not had a bad experience. We recently did a catering order (Rasta Pasta x3, Jerk Chicken Sandwiches x7, Patties x7) and people could not stop raving about the food. This is what you’d call a hidden gem given the location, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Ordered the Jerk quesadilla with mac and cheese and acorn bread . The Jerk Quesadilla was good but didn't at all taste like jerk . The Mac was excellent , noodles were cooked a little soft but the season was there ! Probably the best mac I've had out of a restaurant .

I ordered a Rasta pasta and I must say there’s wayyyy too much black pepper and paprika in the pasta sauce. The back of my throat is burning from the seasoning and it’s not because the food is tasty she literally put wayyyy tooo much seasoning in the sauce. Doesn’t seem like she knows how to measure her ingredients and thought it was a good idea not to. does not taste like taste like Rasta pasta. I’m all about spicy food I’m Caribbean however this is not spicy food this is putting too much seasoning of two things. A few hours later here I am on the toilet because I have RUN BELLY from this food

I ordered the jerk chicken quesadilla from J's Place and was a bit disappointed with the portion size. For over $10, the quesadillas were quite flat with barely any meat inside. While the flavor was really good, the portion just didn't seem worth the price. Hoping they can improve on this in the future.

Mannnnnnnnnn don’t even get me started!!! Just discovered this jawn after work trying to get some good food and fell upon this spot!! I knew by the pictures and review it was going to be nice……so I ordered the wings, the mac with cornbread and was not disappointed!!! They really throw it down over there fr??????
