The restaurant was very clean and well taken care of; service was very good and friendly. Food was nothing to be desired for. I ordered the deep fried dill pickles for an ap and gave one to my friend to try and told her to be careful as they are very hot. She cut it in half, tested it with her finger and said it was just warm; that should have been a clue to what we were going to get. All the pickles I have ever gotten at other restaurants were extremely hot from the fryer, these were luke warm. We ordered halibut and have never had a piece of fish that was literally sitting inside a pouch of batter; never seen anything like it. The batter was not even attached to the fish, my friend figured their fryers were not hot enough (hence the pickles) and it was disgusting. Poutine was not bad as gravy was tasty, but my friend had just the fries and could not eat them because of the taste of the oil left on the fries. Mushy peas weren't bad. I would not go back to this restaurant for fish again.

Worst fish and chips ever! Chips were dry, so was the fish. We spent over $50 . The salad was small . The halibut pieces were tiny flat and dry. This place is terrible. Will never go back!!!

This is one of our 'go to's' for excellently priced hot breakfast. Coffee is good. I really enjoy their fish and chips too. A great little place that probably gets overlooked in Alliston.
