Not many places deserve 5 stars but Halibut House in Alliston is quite worthy. Food was fantastic, light breading, tasty fish and crisp FRESH fries, that were obviously prepared in clean oil (a rarity anywhere). The place was super clean and the service incredible. When you're in the mood for fish and chips, do not miss this one.
I have always been very happy with ANY Halibut House location. I love fish and chips. But I'm writing this review today because it's the first time I had ever tried the battered mushrooms. WOW! I was expecting small button mushrooms. I ordered take out. When I opened the box, they were eight large mushrooms, a great batter and good ranch dipping sauce as well.

Went to the Alliston location for lunch, halibut was Good, and the chips as well. This being said don't venture from that as others I was with had the burger very disappointed as the burger was nothing more than a Kirkland brand frozen burger. Another had the BLT and chips let's just say the sandwich was only two bites.
