I had to give 3 stars not because I don't like the flavors, they are all good and a great drink, if you can handle milk. I originally came across the brand at a farm show. During which it being lactose free was a main discussion and one of the points of sale. Last night when I gave this drink to my husband, he eventually spent the rest of the night curled up with an extreme stomachache to the point tears welled up in his eyes, he was in so much pain. He woke up this morning and was still feeling bad. I know I should have read the bottle to begin with, because on the back is says, contains milk. However, I can't be the only and won't be the only one who has not read the back and either gives it to someone or drinks it based on the label that states its lactose free, which it is certainly not. I'm not sure how something can be labeled lactose free and there be milk in it and it's still be able to be labeled as lactose free, to begin with, but buyer beware..

A must stop in Almonte/MM. The creative drinks melt the soul. AND all the other distilled flavours to sample and then to make the tough decision which to take home. Stop, sit and sample!

Rude workers at the Pinery, not helpful, or inviting…we went Aug 31 2025 long weekend, 1045…if I was the owner, id be checking which staff were working… we are a small business owner, and I’d be disappointed if they were my workers!

Full disclosure - I'm born and raised Almonte and, with the exception of a 12 year stint in Ottawa, I've lived all my life here. I'm very proud of my home town and was delighted when the Dairy Distillery set up shop in town. My wife and I recently took the tour and it was very reasonably priced, informative and most importantly, a lot of fun. We all had the chance to sample all eight of their cream flavours. The tour and the sampling were a hit with everyone! Highly recommended!
There are plenty of reviews here with good information on the Vodkow process so I won't get into that here. What I'd like to talk about is how friendly and helpful everyone is. I could buy the Vodkow products at our local LCBO but I am willing to drive for AN ENTIRE EXTRA MINUTE more to go to the Distillery directly!!! Actually I'd be willing to a lot further than that! Every time I go in I am made to feel welcome and the interactions are fun! Another point is that they are excellent corporate citizens. I love it that they have teamed up with three other Almonte businesses - Hummingbird Chocolate, Equator Coffee Roasters and Fulton's Maple Syrup.
So nothing but good to say and five very well deserved stars.

We landed up at Vodkow on our Ontario - yours to discover road trip. We were lucky to meet Neal who is a co-founder and he shared with us the amazing innovative work they do at Vodkow...its a matter of pride that we have innovators like Neal in Canada and the product is superb. We loved the 40% ..for its lovely sweet finish and the Humming bird chocolate liqueur. Amazing...go discover Vodkow folks...

Short trips brought us to this wonderful vodka producer in Almonte, Ontario. It’s a beautiful space and the actual place where they make the spirit looks majestic! Russell took us on an interesting tour that ended with multiple tastings and shopping opportunity. This was the best part of our small business tours in the area and I highly recommend a visit.

I haven’t been to the distillery yet, but I’ve seen them at markets around and their vodka is amazing! I recently saw them at the Ottawa Christmas market and a young girl gave me the best customer service after a mishap happened. Amazing all around, I can’t recommend this enough!
I purchased the Pumpkin Spice Cream at the Sudbury Farmers Market today. WOW!! What a winner. Great flavor without the heavy cream after taste. Highly recommend for a great seasonal treat.

I have not been to the distillery yet but I did order online and had a great experience! Shipping was quick and very easy to order. Upon arrival unfortunately there was an issue with one of the bottles - I emailed vodkow about the issue and they were so quick to respond and had a solution right away! Great customer service

dropped i saturday morning and bought the 4 flavors cream liquors super nice service was worth the 12 kms from hwy 17 now back in Sudbury noticed they do not stock at LCBO
