I do seem to have frequent issues with my drinks however. I could swear that the mocha I got today didn't have any espresso shots in it, as it just tasted like a hot chocolate. The cappuccinos are always too heavy and feel like lattes, and are also a little weak in the espresso department. I do like that they always have a variety of baked goods.

I needed a place for some laptop work while in town on a Friday afternoon. Chicken Caesar wrap was pretty mediocre / a bit disappointing, but the Nitro Cold Brew was great, appreciate water being readily available, and staff were very kind (and I saw them extend that kindness repeatedly through customer service to those around me). I would visit again for the coffee and atmosphere.

Fantastic small chain coffee place. On our second visit, the staff were saying "Welcome back!” and are chatty and personable. So many places forget what a big difference such a small amount of effort can make.
Like most small chain places, you won't be paying Tim Horton's prices here, but the quality is absolutely worth it. Whether drinks or food, I haven't had anything from here that didn't impress me. This location even has a drive thru!
They also regularly have events like board game nights which are good fun and something we hope to partake in more often.
If you want an overall great experience and to support local, don't skip out on this place. I waited for too long to try it out and will definitely be back regularly.

Equator Coffee is more than THE BEST PLACE TO GO for ANY reason at all.... It is also an engaged team of community-minded souls who go OUT of their WAY to help members of Almonte and the wider Canadian community. Equator Coffee generously supported the local event, Reconciliation Through Art, at the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum, Sept. 30, 2024 - an event that answered many of the 94 Calls to Truth and Reconciliation. This events connected the predominantly non-Indigenous community with Indigenous Art, Music, Performance and Teachings. Besides donating a raffle prize, they also provided brewed coffee for ALL of the visitors to the multi-faceted event, and the artists, performers, speakers and volunteers! It raised the pleasure-level of everyone at the event and shows just how committed Equator Coffee is to reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. Many thanks to Jacob who delivered the coffee with the utmost graciousness, and Bailey who organized the coffee drops, and the whole Equator Team for generosity beyond our wildest dreams.

Service is great...the gf and df desserts are amazing...but lost two starts because of the recent changes to the lunch menu. The quality is no longer there...and they don't have a vegetarian option...
Vegetarian options: They don't offer a vegetarian sandwich option...they used to...not sure why they would make that kind of a change...

What a wonderful spot! First time here and I will definitely be back when I'm in the area (I'm in Almonte semi--regularly). Right from the moment we walked in, the staff were super friendly and welcoming--especially Dennis (I forgot to ask but we think he may be the manager/owner) who chatted with us, gave us suggestions, and took the time and effort to talk to us and even delivered our coffees and food. He was super friendly and personable, and this allows him/this spot to stand out amongst other coffee shop or similar spots in the area. I've only been to one Equator shop before (Stittsville--also excellent!), but with the delicious coffee and friendly service here, I am going to become a (semi) regular. They have GF bread for sandwiches (although they had just run out on my visit--but definitely will have a sandwich next time!). I appreciate them having this option because its nice that those of us who can't have regular bread. Also, I love that they have quite a few treats/squares that are GF, vegan etc. I tried the Ooey goey bar (an oat type bar with chocolate--SO good) which was perfect with my coffee. We were very glad to finally try this place and both my partner and I were super impressed with the exceptionally service and friendly staff. Since they were closing when we were leaving, they even set us up with free coffee refills for the road!! Super awesome. Thank you to Dennis!!!! We are already looking forward to our next visit!! :)

Stopped on the way back to Ottawa for some coffee beans and grabbed a drink, too. The interior was very nice and as soon as I walked in almost wanted to stay and drink my coffee there. The service was also awesome. The coffee I got to go was also very balanced and flavourful. I was surprised to find they have a drive through option as well.
