I truly love the food at Joe's Italian Kitchen here in Almonte. The quality and flavor are consistently outstanding, and I would absolutely order takeout again. That said, the dining experience left something to be desired. I understand the space is small and that smaller tables are necessary, but in that case, smaller dishes might make more sense. Our table felt crowded and cluttered, making it difficult to comfortably enjoy the meal. We were seated next to the bar by the window on a very cold day, as we had taken our two granddaughters out to celebrate Family Day. Unfortunately, the seating arrangement and draft took away from what we had hoped would be a cozy family outing. ( yes I did make reservations the day before) Would I dine in again? Probably not. Would I order takeout? Absolutely. The food is excellent , I just wish the atmosphere matched the quality of the cuisine.

First off, the food was fantastic. I am Celiac and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Secondly, our server was lovely and so helpful for me. The rest of our group enjoyed their meals as well. The atmosphere there is perfect. Love the location and feel of this place.

Our dining experience was mixed. Efficient staff and service. Food quality was good but not as the menu described. We had the Fettuccini fruiti da mer. Scallops perfectly cooked, shrimp delicious. Way too much pepper!

Very fun pizza menu. Great location with views of the river and the falls. The service was perfect. And more importantly, the the pizza is the real deal.

I went there for lunch with friends, the atmosphere was amazing, you feel as if you’re at home when you enter the place, with the smell of the freshly cooked food, and the nicely presented plates, the minestrone soup wasn’t the typical one but it tasted good.

It was a very warm and inviting atmosphere with attentive service. Wide variety of cocktails and a good size menu focussed on pizza. We chose a few appetizers to share between the two of us -bruschetta, meatballs and ceasar salad which were all delectable and enough for a small meal. We will definitely be back to try the varied pizzas which also looked delicious!

We've been to Joe's dozens of times and enjoyed it immensely, but the past two times we've left disappointed. My pizza, had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while, as had the gfs pasta. Otherwise service was good Oh, dessert... canollis were delicious
My family, friends and I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The staff told us the entire place was “fully reserved,” yet they didn’t offer any estimated wait time, no alternative options, and not even basic courtesy. The way they spoke to us felt dismissive, as if they simply didn’t want to deal with a family with children. For a restaurant that claims to offer good service, the lack of transparency, hospitality, and basic respect was shocking. I left feeling unwelcome and ignored. Management seriously needs to rethink how they treat customers—especially families—because this type of service is unacceptable.

The food was very good and the table location was too. However I was disappointed in the service. I had booked this for a special birthday for my son. We don't even get a happy birthday wish. Not sure if I will go back and travel all the way there.
