Great for breakfast, lunch fare, coffee, drinks etc. A small number of tables. The service was great.
They also have a large food market with unique gourmet items.
We had croque monsieur, shrimp toast and curry egg salad. High marks for croque monsieur, egg salad was great but the white bread it was on was meh, a nice multigrain with some greens added would up the flavour.
We also had drinks, including a nice non-alcoholic "sour" beer, nice selections.

Yummy yummy desserts! Our go-to place each time we visit Almonte. We find prices reasonnable considering the quality of their products and the nice atmosphere of the place.

Visited the place with my Asian family including kids and babies, from Ottawa. I am pretty sure one of the staff had an unpleasant attitude toward us. I seriously recommend the owner to review this issue because I still feel offended more than 2 weeks later. The server who served our table was very helpful and nice, though, as also another staff behind the bar who answered my questions when we were trying to figure out availability. The atmosphere was nice as expected but the food does not worth it (portion size, price, and composition) if you want a real meal. The place is more for those who want to enjoy a beverage than food.
Dietary restrictions: Not many options for dairy free diet.
Kid-friendliness: Not baby friendliness, even though they have high chair, it is more for older kids.

My wife and I decided to check out Almonte yesterday, and after visiting the many shops, had dinner at North Market …we were elated to stumble upon this gem! We enjoyed a truly unique and excellent meal, great service and a warm and welcoming environment…we’ll be back!

Cute fancy bistro vibe, with the added touch of small town charm. My husband and I both loved the daily special of their version of an avocado benny. It had pico de gallo and chilli ‘crunch’ with the perfect amount of heat and flavour, and crumbled feta to mellow it out. I only wish they had asked how I wanted my poached eggs (a bit hard for my liking). It was a lovely lunch date for us and we will certainly be back.
Dietary restrictions: They were very helpful with my nut allergy and made every effort to keep my dish safe.
Kid-friendliness: There is a high chair available; a cute red vintage one.
