We walked in with two sets of difficult intolerances and allergies, before dinner was even served. So, as staff indicated understanding and knowledge on how to feed us safely, we made reservations for a little bit later, when dinner service started.
When we walked in for dinner, we were greeted with a fully annotated menu, telling each of us which bits of the menu we could safely eat.
On top of that, the food was absolutely wonderful. We will happily eat here again.

Been visiting North Market for the past 5 years and have never been disappointed, whether it is a treat yourself stop or a special occasion! Most recently dined with friends who were celebrating their wedding. Our table had some tricky allergies (gluten and legumes), but NM was able to accomodate us with a little advance communication. All but two dishes on the menu worked for us and we loved every dish. Can't wait to come back in the Summer when they serve fresh produce from their garden. I always leave feeling like im falling in love with food again lol thank you it was wonderful as always!!

An absolute 5 star gem! I've had this place on my radar for a while as so many have recommended it to me.
I ordered the TURKISH EGGS, described on the menu as poached eggs, potato, herb yogurt, crudites, chili, savoury granola. It was accompanied with 2 small pita slices which worked with the dish quite well. Eggs were perfectly poached! I added an extra side of roasted potatoes as I am a big eater. Couldn't be more pleased with my meal. Looking forward to trying other menu options.
A culinary experience with a small town rustic charm atmosphere. Highly recommended to all my culinary colleagues!

My first visit to North Market won't be the last! My vegetarian meal was superb - sweet potato soup, gnocchi and ice cream for desert. Each was incredibly flavourful. So happy to enjoy a desert that isn't too sweet - cherry, ricotta, honey and rye crumble. This is my new favourite restaurant in the Ottawa valley!

I had the fall pasta and it may be the best white pasta dish I have ever had. Very delicate and delicious. I wish I had taken a photo, because it was also beautiful on the plate. When next in Almonte, I will be back here for lunch.

The place, the location, the ambiance is fantastic, but the food, OMG! I didn't expect that outstanding dinner mixing many differents flavors. The pork belly with parsnip puree and the market fish (bass) with creamed corn was something extraordinary never tasted before in Canada.

We love North Market! Been many times for impromptu drinks and delicious tapas. Most recently, we had our intimate wedding night dinner at this beautiful gem. The vibe, as per usual, was romantic, cozy, warm, and eclectic. Maybe it’s just me… but I feel like they set out extra candles and dimmed the lights just right for what was a PERFECT end to our perfect special day. We were treated like kings and queens, it was super special with great service (like always), great food (like always) and lots of love all around. We were even greeted with a stunning flower arrangement! Thank you SO much North Market. A night spent with close fam and friends that we will never forget!

We came in for Brunch at noon. Did not check menu first lol. Not really a brunch menu as we are used to. So stayed and had the Latte summer pasta and date crumble. Crumble was a little hard but tasty. Asked to heat up but the server said it was not possible. Oh ok. Very tasty. Portion was perfect. Very simple and cozy.

North Market is conveniently located right in the heart of Almonte, and the space itself is lovely — bright, modern, and thoughtfully decorated. The menu offers the usual café staples, and while the food was good, it was about what you’d expect from a small-town café — nothing that really stands out or feels like a “must-try.”
What kept this from being a 5-star experience was the atmosphere created by the staff. They run the place with a very business-like approach, which unfortunately doesn’t give off the warm, welcoming small-town vibe we were hoping for. A few more smiles and a bit of friendliness would go a long way to make the experience feel special.
Still, it’s a nice spot for a casual bite if you’re in the area.

The day's special, Mushroom galette with lambs quarters and green tomato salad topped with a poached egg, was melt-in-your-mouth amazing.
I recommend trying one of their many teas, the apple crumble tea and genmaicha were both perfect for our rainy day brunch.
I highly recommend making a reservation for groups larger than 3. Since we called ahead, we were seated immediately. The space is small but comfortable and aesthetic, and locals know the food is worth any wait!
