What a most wonderful family 'afternoon high tea' experience. Price is absolutely superb and the amount of food and variety you get is fantastic. Everything was gorgeous, delicious and fresh. The tea selection is awesome and so good. Will definitely be back again.
Dietary restrictions: No issues with dietary requirements for 'afternoon tea'.
Parking: Lots of free street parking or free community lot down the main street. 5-7 minute lovely walk.
Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly and accommodating for 'afternoon tea'. Lots of sandwiches and deserts that are versatile and great for picky eaters.

Adorable! We went for a little birthday high tea and it was wonderful. The shop itself is adorable, and the use of vintage tea cups and plates was a sweet touch. The food was delicious, and the two staff members working were very kind, attentive and welcoming.

Our entire family (7 adults and our 3 year old granddaughter) enjoyed a wonderful 'Afternoon Tea' at Tea and Cake for my belated Mother's Day gift. My granddaughter had her own afternoon tea delights (special tea, tiny pb&j sandwiches and desserts) which she enjoyed like a proper little lady sipping her English tea. The atmosphere was warm, bright and refreshing with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food was delicious but the best part for me was their absolutely amazing scones - our granddaughter even said they were fabulous!!!!!
We were really excited to go but we were unfortunately disappointed. The assortment of sandwiches and desserts lacked flavor. Everything was quite bland or overly sweet.

Super cute and inviting little tea house. Desserts are fantastic. Atmosphere very quaint. It's small, make reservations if you are coming from a distance.

We had Afternoon Tea here a couple weeks ago and enjoyed it. The price point is VERY low ($25 per person) so it was a nice change of pace from the expensive hotel tea experiences. This is a very small cafe so reserve in advance if you want a table for afternoon tea. The sandwiches were fresh and the sweets were made in-house or locally. The scone was the best bite; delicious! We were sad that there was no clotted cream here for the scone but we did add-on one lemon curd (+ $2.50) which was a nice touch. Would recommend they add Clotted Cream for an additional charge too, to eat with the lovely scones: it's a quintessential part of afternoon tea. Service was "just okay" when we went and could be improved. Overall, this was a nice inexpensive afternoon tea experience .

I don't get how they've got all their awards.Stuff was rude and unhelpful. I had to repeat my order 4 times. They asked me to switch the table even though the place was half empty. They also ask people if they have reservations ( again, at a half empty place).Deserts tasted like it's made of premixed box, cheap and chemical taste. Coffee is mediocre. Nothing i saw or tried at this place looked or tasted good. Surprisingly terrible experience, Almonte deserves better.
