My husband and I were visiting Amherstburg today. We decided to stop by Gilligans for a late lunch and, being as we're not from Amherstburg, it would be a first time visit. We went to enter the restaurant and it was locked. We weren't aware that Gilligans was closed on a Sunday. That was ok, but as we were going back to our car, there were people inside the restaurant who made a point of laughing very loud at us for trying to come in. So, for those who chose to welcome first time customers, thank you for making our decision to never come to your welcoming establishment again. Many other restaurants in the beautiful town of Amherstburg that are more than happy to have us as diners.

This place is amazing. The staff are all very friendly and treat you good. The food is also great. Been eating here frequently for lunch as I'm working in town. They never disappoint. Wide range of burgers and other foods to choose from. 5 stars for me. CHEERS!

Got the original and Mushroom Swiss burgers, the burger presentation was good, patties were lacking flavor, no seasoning on patties if any service and atmosphere was good as usual, just the food over the course of a year has gone a bit downward unfortunately.

Had the special.... Burnt beef tips with mash potatoes which which basically were boiled steak pieces covered in a wild amount of barbeque sauce. All the other meals everyone else ordered look abysmal wouldn't return.
