We were hoping for our first visit last night. Was told our reservation for a table that we booked would now be seating at the bar. A seat at the bar is not a table reservation. Maybe sometime in the future we'll give it a go.

My husband and I went to The Pepper Cat for dinner without a reservation. Thanks to a last-minute cancellation, we were seated right away. The hostess was warm and welcoming, which set the tone for a great evening. We each started with a drink, and for dinner I ordered the salmon while my husband had the shrimp cocktail followed by the shrimp & crab ravioli. Our meals were cooked to perfection. The flavours were outstanding and the presentation was beautiful. We were genuinely impressed by the quality of the food. The service was just as excellent. The servers worked seamlessly as a team to make the experience smooth and enjoyable. We will definitely be back!

Enjoyed our dinner. Service was very attentive and friendly. My pan seared squid was very good, although I'd eliminate the jalapeno peppers. The main dish of cod was prefectly cooked. Plating presentation could be slightly better.

Absolutely incredible! From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly and shown to our table, service was fantastic, the focaccia bread they serve you, don’t even get me started! Our meals were excellent, my wife had filet and their potato gratin and I had the special, lobster risotto, we also had crème brule for dessert. Highly recommend and we will be back again and again!

We had an incredible night at Pepper Cat! From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations. We ordered the tomahawk for two, and it was absolutely phenomenal, perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. The service was excellent, attentive without being intrusive, which made the experience even better.
The upstairs patio was the highlight for ambiance. Sitting there during Open Air Latin Weekend was such a nice time.
If I had to mention one small drawback, it would be the Caesar salad starter. It was beautifully presented as a single grilled heart of romaine, but it felt more like an individual portion than something to share.. and kinda messy to eat on a small counting board. Other than that, everything was nice.
Best restaurant in Essex county. Will custom make your plate if you have food allergies. We have travelled all over Europe and dined at Michelin star restaurants but the Pepper Cat's beef tartar is as good as we have ever had. We have never been disappointed with our Pepper Cat experience. Try the escargot you get about 25 of them in a creative cream and cheese sauce. There is enough for the whole table.,
