The quality has gone out of the window!, the salty dog fries might as well have sawdust on them flavorless and very dry like they had been sitting. The fish use to be really good, I would recommend them for their fish dinner to friends and family. They use to have halibut, now it's haddock or perch, I had the perch dinner, the fish was dry and looked like they cut the fillets in half, never seen perch so small. My girlfriend had the salty dog burger the pork belly was chewy and super fatty, she had to take off to eat the burger to be able to eat it. My mom had the hoddock, it was very oily and the coleslaw was tasteless just like the fries. I use to go ever 3 months but after the last couple times that I've gone it wasn't good at all, I will not returning.

I ordered the New Yorker pizza. I was blown away is the best pizza I've ever had. My wife loves the grilled salad with salmon on top. We weren't expecting much but it just blew us away how nice and comfortable this restaurant feels. We have gone back several times now. We love it. My wife also loves the blackened chicken I think it is called.

As a frequent flyer of Salty Dog, I expect way better food and service than what we just experienced. It felt so awkward tonight, 90% of the staff was almost fooling around, the owner Kevin was behind the bar watching the ball game without a clue of the mishaps going on behind him. We didn't get our appetizer or soup, our entrees arrived first and we had to remind them. My wife still wanted her soup however no Brussel sprouts for me, definitely didn't want them as a dessert. My burger was very good but my wife's chicken tacos were horrible, the chicken tasted flaky and the season was clumping. Great birthday dinner for my wife, a bowl of soup. Please change out that flar diet coke.

Really good food and a great vibe. We always enjoy coming here when we visit Amherstburg. I highly recommend the buffalo chicken wing tacos. They aren't too spicy, but you get the full effect of buffalo chicken flavour.
I've also had their pizza in the past and it's also very good.
