It’s hard to give a rating. Standing in front, waiting to be seated, completely ignored, because they were fully booked and didn’t take walk ins. After standing for a while, we went in to find out from annoyed hostess that they were fully booked and were offered to sit at the bar. That would have been good if she was a bit nicer. Oh, well there are other places. Excellent food is not always enough. It’s the service, even when patrons are not seated.

The Salty Dog is one of my favourite places in Amherstburg, the last few visits I’ve had the pleasure of having Everett as my server. He always makes a great atmosphere and honestly one of the reasons I go back. Whatever they are paying this guy is not enough haha!!

Salty Dog is a consistent spot for me & my loved ones, we especially love our visits when Everett is our sever, he always remembers us and goes above and beyond to make sure we have a great experience. 🔥
