Went there for dinner last night. The food was great and the atmosphere of the restaurant was great as well. We had a reservation but we were sat 30 minutes past the reservation. I guess why bother making a reservation if you have to wait. Hostess was a bit rude to us asking when we'd receive the table.
The service was excellence the food was fine. My wife's chicken was great and we both believed my short rib was dry. The biggest disappointment was the ambience /treatment for our anniversary dinner. There was a request made to be in the falls room and I understand not being able to get us in but instead of sitting us down anywhere nice we just get placed in the middle of the floor at a 4 person table (only 3 tables, anywhere else would of been better). So not a very memorable experience. Really disappointing, since we got married at your establishment and feel like we were treated as an after thought. Really unfortunate for what we wanted to be a special night.
Would not dine again. View is pretty but not worth the price. Food is bland and lacks depth, only thing we ordered that was half enjoyable was the short rib and the bread plate. The calamari was basic and chewy, Scallop and Pork belly special was a odd combination with flavours not mixing well, scallops were rubbery and mushy. Squash Risotto tasted very bland, only dish we ordered where we did not even want to take it to go. (Server was nice about it and comped the dish as we clearly did not enjoy). All of the dishes minus the risotto had a overpowering amount of salt. Service overall at this price point can be improved. Table was not wiped in between courses.
First time experiencing it was great. Really good food (quality and quantity). Really good service. Really good ambience. 10/10 recommend.
The setting and view were beautiful, but our dining experience didn't meet expectations. Our table was located beside the washrooms, which was quite distracting. The food presentation was nice, but both the appetizers and mains lacked freshness and flavour. Service also felt a bit impersonal. Hoping it was just an off night, as the ambiance was lovely
Attention to details were appreciated from the anniversary card to the bubbly to celebrate along with our server and of course the picture perfect location. It was a night to remember.
Lavish Sunday brunch at its finest! Fresh fruit, pastries, perfectly poached eggs, sausages, bacon, crepes, waffles, Oysters, Crab, chicken, prime rib, Brisket and salmon - the spread was incredible! Mimosas flowed and the service by Greg was top-notch. 10/10 would recommend!
Everything was great except the service. As a first-time visitor, I felt like more guidance would've helped. We only found the main food area a few minutes before leaving. The server was kind, but there wasn't enough information provided.
Exceptional food for lunch with plenty of choices. The service was very good and the view of the waterfalls from the table made the entire experience over the top.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice. The service was top notch. We will definitely return here on our next stay in Ancaster

Our evening at Ancaster Mill was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning waterfall views and the warm, inviting atmosphere. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout our visit. The food was exceptional — every dish was crafted with care, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. My Wife especially loved the perfectly cooked chicken and definitely it's highly recommended place and worth to time spend with your loved ones.
We had an exceptional time here at Ancaster Mill yesterday afternoon. Food was wonderful and service was top notch. We were celebrating my husband's Birthday and the waitress gave us a birthday surprise at the table and it was so memorable!!
We went to Ancaster Mill for Sunday brunch with a group of six and it really did not live up to expectations. The setting is beautiful, but the tables are placed very close together which made it feel crowded and noisy. For seventy-seven dollars per person, we expected a higher level of food variety and service. The buffet was quite basic and we had to ask several times just to get a 7 Up brought to the table. When you spend close to seven hundred dollars for brunch, you expect a phenomenal experience, but it just did not feel special. The location itself is lovely, but the overall value and level of service were disappointing.
Amazing food in terms of quality and variety, absolutely gorgeous surroundings and views, especially from our corner table, and excellent service. Don't sleep on the Caesars! Honestly great value for the Sunday brunch.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a wonderful Sunday brunch at Ancaster Mill! The food was absolutely delicious — everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was warm and elegant, with the sound of the waterfall in the background adding such a relaxing touch. A special mention goes to our waitress, who was super friendly and attentive. She made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Her great service really made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend Ancaster Mill for anyone looking for an exceptional brunch experience!
