Had a wonderful lunch at Ancaster Mill.
The area outside is beautiful and a nice place to have a pre or most meal walk.
Service was great. Servers were very polite, personable and attentive.
Food was great, with a good variety. Good portion sizing and reasonable pricing.
Really enjoyed our experience here and will definitely be back!

Celebrated my fiance's birthday at Ancaster Mill. We helped ourselves to the Ontario burrata, elk sandwich and sirloin steak. Every bite was a delight! The steak was perfectly cooked and marinated. I was very surprised with how fresh and delicious the burrata was. The carrot puree paired with the burrata was amazing!

A bit late with a review of our Thanksgiving dinner. It was delightful. The ambience is second to none. We both ordered the Turkey for dinner, it was abundant & delicious. This was our first visit but not our last.

Wow! What a hidden gem!
The place is a paradise with the combination of the outdoors waterfalls and the contemporary interior design display in each room. Being a busy weekend, we were impressed of the timely attention from the staff and our waitress, and last but not least, the food was delicious and excusite Compliments to the Chef!♥️.

We drove from Toronto for our annual Christmas brunch for my mother birthday and made this reservation more than a month in advance. Despite traveling through a snowstorm, we arrived looking forward to the experience, but unfortunately left very disappointed.
Shortly after arriving, we lined up for oysters, only to be informed by staff that they had already run out and that only crab legs were available. It was just around 12:30 p.m. For a first-come, first-served buffet, this suggests poor planning and inadequate food preparation. When I shared this concern with staff, I was offered a complimentary handcrafted coffee.
Overall, the food quality was underwhelming and not memorable. What was more disappointing was the lack of attention to a special occasion. I had clearly noted in the reservation that it was my mother’s birthday, yet no cupcake or candle was prepared—something that was provided last year. The only option offered was to cut a pastry from outside and add a candle, which we declined.
In summary, while the location and scenery are beautiful, the service and food quality did not meet expectations. The receptionist was unprofessional, the food supply was insufficient, and the overall experience did not justify the effort of the trip. We will not be returning and would not recommend this venue.

I attended a wedding there recently. The service was horrible. Not enough staff booked. The few they had were serving the restaurant part. Then when they had a few minutes in between. They would serve the wedding. Should have had staff in just for the wedding. Everything was so far behind. Dinner was over 1 hour behind because of no staff being free to serve us.

We have had a great time in this beautiful medieval looking castle for a dinner. This place has different halls with bars and dinning rooms. Inside, you will be amazed by the architectural finish. It feels very antic and contemporary. You will enjoy the delicious food they serve. Their ceaser salad and roasted sirloin were great. You will see the waterfall while eating. I would definitely recommend this place for your dine in.

I enjoyed my delicious lunch today here at the Ancaster mill (December.18th)
The atmosphere was very nice with all the Christmas decorations and breathtaking views of the waterfall outside the restaurant.
They have many glass windows to show different perspectives of the scenery.
The Hostess Sofia walked me to my table. She was warm and friendly.
My Server named Ali was excellent, he was attentive and made sure I had a great dining experience.
I ordered a Cappuccino that came with a rock candied brown sugar stir stick.
I Started with the juniper and tomato soup. It was presented nicely and poured into my bowl at my table.
I found it was flavourful but the temperature was not quite at hot as I like my soup.
For my main I had the very delicious Beet Risotto, Arborio rice, Grana Padano, roasted beets, beet purée, kale chips, charred pearl onion. It was served nice and hot and it was a very generous portion and very filling.
I ordered a side of Skin-On Smashed Potatoes parsley, chives, buttermilk. They were very good.
I look forward to returning again soon!
