King of Munchies TexMex Smash House

I’ve been here a few times before and it’s always been pretty decent, but my last visit was really disappointing.

I called ahead to place a pickup order on my way over. I ordered chicken fingers and two small poutines, and I was told it’d be ready in 15 minutes. When I got there, I was told it’d be another 5–8 minutes because they make the fries fresh when customers arrive. Okay… that’s literally why I called ahead and was given a pickup time.

Then they got my order wrong. Instead of an order of chicken fingers, they made me a “chicken finger poutine”. When I pointed it out, the guy just stood there and didn’t say anything—no apology, no offer to fix it, nothing.

Pretty disappointing experience. Needless to say, I won’t be back.

drove over an hour to try this place after hearing so many great things and it absolutely lived up to the hype! Everything was delicious, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. The customer service was also excellent. I'll definitely be making the trip back again soon!

I love when an owner is clearly passionate about his menu, and that's very much the case with King of the Munchies! This place is social media worthy with an outstanding varied menu. 100% worth the visit, brings me back to my time in Cali!

Wanted a taco salad but there wasn’t a vegan option on the menu so they made me a custom one, suggesting substitutions which I really appreciated!!

2nd time tonight we tried it. Food is amazing fresh. Gotta say those those donuts are no joke tho. Will definitely be returning.

The service here was great we were super comfortable and exited about the menu. The guy behind the counter was super chill and laid back. We had a chuckle about the music and thought the atmosphere was perfect for people who seek out the “munchies”. Only problem was the munchies themselves were not great. Smash burger was decent. Poutine was one of the better poutines of the area but the rest was below mid. Mac and cheese sucked. Wrap was cut in half one side meat and toppings the other side just toppings. All in all I feel like there’s a lot of potential at that place that just isn’t being tapped into. If I went back I’d eat my food there as soon as I got it. Feel bad posting because the guy behind the counter was a gem an absolute gentleman.

The tacos were absolutely amazing it was everything I imagined. I've been looking for a good place like this. Will be back for sure and try more of the menu !! Highly recommend

Pretty good. And the owner is a very nice man. It's more of a takeout kind of atmosphere inside. But the AC is awesome if it's hot and humid outside.

Atmosphere is great, Customer service is phenomenal. Wife had a smash burger and her input was its pretty good and tasty. Fries are good most times we've went. I had high expectations for the poutine as everyone I've asked in town wheres the best place in town for a poutine and was recommended here. It was a good poutine, Curd was generous, Gravy was alright and fries were good. I think for me maybe I didn't get the best one that day but I’m definitely going to try it again and see. Thats why I give 4 stars other than that Id still recommend coming here if you want good food for a good price and feel full afterwards.
