Gong Cha Aurora

I had a wonderful experience at this store, the barista was very helpful in helping me choose one of the many selections of drinks that they offer on the menu. I ended up choosing one of their promotions which was the double peach milk tea and I love it!

Bad review, they said buy one get one free but didn’t give it. I called to ask, but they didn’t finish half of the sentence and hung up on me😭😭😭

Mid-way through ordering for 4 ppl I was informed that there was only enough tapioca for one. I was disappointed as had been craving tapioca all day, so I paused to consider what to do next (order sth else or go elsewhere). Don't know if it's the owner or an employee, but the cashier starts making excuses and telling me about the tricky logistics of running a business and how she would be willing to wait 30 mins if she wanted tapioca. Mind you, it was 6pm and they close at 9pm, so don't know why they'd run out so early. She said everyone wanted bubbles that day (go figure). I didn't bother to tell her that I have 15 years of experience in the food business, 7yrs of running my own busy food service operation, so am familiar with all the reasons you might "run out" of something. When you don't have the product that a customer wants, the right response is simply to apologize and offer solutions or an incentive, not to explain why you didn't do your job well. We went elsewhere to satisfy my tapioca craving. However, due to the cashiers lack of customer service attitude we won't be back to try Gong Cha Aurora.

I like the lychee oolong tea with pearls. The 3 J Earl Grey is good also. It wasn't busy when we went. Service was fast.

A clean, quiet little ice tea place. A small food selection if you need snacks. First time I went, I got Oreo Coffee Milk Tea & Oreo Croffle, second time I got Oreo Coffee Milk Tea again. First time, I was waited on by the new owner. Second time, I was waited on by a young employee. Both were sweet and easy to interact with. I plan to go again anytime I am in the area!

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a dip in the sidewalk directly outside of Gong Cha, so that wheelchair users can access the sidewalk.

The people that work here are great! The waffle tastes great. They sometimes sell out of things near the end of the day though like the croffle or drinks that need special ingredients.
