Terrible. Got the big breakfast that included 3 eggs, bacon, sausage etc. Only got served 2 eggs, bacon was cold, sausages were not cooked very well. Service sucked. Overall a disgusting place to come. Used to be good at one time. Must be owned by Indians now. Quality went downhill.
Dirty, and poor service
Service was poor. Slow to get meal. Did not get a refill on coffee even after I asked. Food was good
when i ordered a poutine it came with just gravey and fries and no cheese , when i asked where the cheese was they said you only asked for a poutine , from where i am that is what a poutine is .
Breakfast was mediocre
I experienced Golden Harvest Diner for the first time today. Shri was very pleasant and the service was exceptional. I ordered the chicken stir fry and garden salad with French dressing, it was amazing. Shri was very attentive suggested what meal to order based on what I was interested in eating and was very professional, polite, and dressed well to please the business and customers' expectations. I would recommend going to this location and asking for Shri, as you won't be disappointed in her services and the food will not be disappointing. Thank you, Shri, for the experience you created for me.
This restaurant may be fine for breakfast or lunch, but if you are wanting to order anything that is on the menu, do not go for dinner. We went there last week after seeing a play in Cambridge, thinking we couldn’t go wrong with a truck stop diner! Little did we know, that they had either run out of everything, or forgot to buy groceries, as everything we went to order was unavailable. We felt sorry for the waitress whose only job it seemed, was to apologize…there was no schnitzel, no gravy, no baked potato…still we persevered and came up with something. The salads were delectable and quite fresh. However, the hot turkey sandwich came without the bread, and was only a few pieces of deli sliced turkey on the plate. We did eventually get 2 pieces of toast along with it! All in all, I’m afraid we won’t be recommending this place, or returning, especially for half a meal at full price which was $55 for 2 people.
This used to be a happy place for a good hearty meal with some good level of service . I felt sorry for the server . She was the cashier and waitress for the whole dining room
She barely had time to drop food and run ! You better get it all in at the beginning or forget ordering additional. She tried her darndest but not good for service levels . The table was not set we got food before the cutlery ..just looks rundown and uncared for
Go into the restaurant be the first group there out of 3 groups and don't even get served. Will never go back service was poor they give a menu then you don't see them for 30 mins, and they serve tables that come in after you before you. So we waked out.
I was a regular here. A Kurdistan family ran it. The last two times I’ve gone the quality has definitely gone down. I wanted to order a double burger but they said they didn’t know how to ring it into their till so they’d have to charge me for two complete meals. I just ordered a single since no I’m not going to pay for two meals. The patty was so dry it was like chewing cardboard. I went back for breakfast a couple days ago since their breakfast was always amazing. I really enjoyed the beans with it. When the breakfast came it was missing the beans and they told me they didn’t have any made. They seem to be lost in how to be consistent and the food isn’t anywhere close to the quality as before so I inquired. Disappointingly it’s under new management and like most Canadian truck stops the quality has gone downhill.

This place use to be a hidden gem, now it’s just hidden coal. Not sure what happened to the old owners but I can tell you the new owners don’t appreciate their customers. Everyone at my tables order was wrong, the portions were smaller, and the waiter didn’t seem to understand us

Okay, so I took down the review. This place is really going downhill. Souvlaki needs tzatziki, you know? And those fries? Worse than chewing gum from last year.

Do not order from here, if you work around avoid to ask for food here, you will probably have to wait 20 minutes there for your food.
Even if you made your order with a gap of two hours.

Absolutely terrible service. Felt like it was every employees first day ever. Zero serving skills. Extremely disorganized, no sense of direction or management once so ever. Couldn't get a coffee and water order correct. 55 mins after food was ordered(simple breakfast) 1 plate showed up... no utensils.. 10 mins before second plate then final plate... food was mediocre to say the least. Server was apologetic enough but still expected a tip... never again. Stay away.
