The burger was really good; crispy edges, great flavour. The fries were Belgian-style, very well-seasoned. Not just another copy-paste smash burger joint. You can tell they are trying to create a good product and put some thought into it. The store was well maintained, clean and had sufficient space to park. Only a handful of tables. Service could be better (organized), I ordered a slice of cake, they left it outside on the counter while I waited for my burger; not a big deal; the service was adequate and fast.

Fries were delicious BUT Burgers were crap — i thought it strange we couldn’t smell the burgers cooking - the burgers came immediately and then we found out why. They had leftover patties they cooked ahead - cold now - wow - how awful - so upset we drove all the way to Ayr If you want a FRESH MADE Smash Burger - go to The Grinder in Stoney Creek. Worth the drive. We really liked the girl that waited on us - I’m sorry to say this but my husband was disgusted that she kept on running her hands down her hair. I mean over & over & over

Excellent smash burger. Good Char on the patties. Pictured is the Barbarian burger with 4 patties and bacon. Would have liked the bacon a little crispier but it was still good. Fries were good. Frozen steak cut which I liked. Staff was friendly and the place was very clean. Great business to support

Tried for the first time today. Ordered a Hawkley burger and poutine. The Hawkley burger was fantastic, seasoned well and a good size for a combo. The poutine was good but could be better with cut fries and a little bit of a thicker gravy. But the burger definitely made up for. Will definitely be back when working in the area

Comfortable chairs and a fireplace complement a friendly staff, amazing quality product, and a very clear attachment to their community. The staff here greet everyone warmly, and it's very clear that they personally know the half dozen day workers I saw eating. The fries are uniquely chunky, but still crisp, as are the smash burger patties and fresh toppings on top. Well worth your lunch hour!

I've been 3 times now over the course of the past year, and I remain disappointed. Finally had some decent fries that weren't mushy because I asked for the gravy on the side, but the fries were cold. Every wrap I've had is wet and falls apart. The Shwarma wrap filling was mushy, overloaded with garlic sauce, and there was very little meat in the pita. I ended up searching for the few pieces of chicken with a fork and then tossed the mush and disintegrated pita.
