Doo Doo's has a reputation that precedes it. They are perennially on lists for the "best butter tarts in Ontario." Since butter tarts were invented in Ontario, that means they are among the best in the world.
I am pleased to report that the butter tarts live up their reputation. They are outstandingly consistent and smooth. What elevates them above many of their competitors is a slight toasted/caramel flavour that's very addictive. It was immediately obvious how Doo Doo's has become something of a butter tart institution in the province.

We didn't go looking for tarts, we were trying to find a coffee shop. DOO DOO'S is a little gem. If you can fight your way through all of the Winning Blue Ribbons, you will find tarts!!! We bought lemon, raspberry and butter tarts. These really were the best I have ever eaten. The coffee was also very good. It is worth the drive from Toronto.

Stopped in here on a car tour. Bout 50 cars. Grabbed some butter tarts up for the drive back. They sold out fast as there was close to 80 ppl lined up. Anyway, loved the store, very clean, butter tarts were "off the chart!". I'm a butter tarts freak, these were the "best" I have ever had. I will definitely be a returning customer!! Thank you Butter Tart God's!!
Oh my goodness picked up some Gluten Free Pumpkin tarts from the Cobourg Farmers market and they did not disappoint!

Truly the best butter tarts I've ever had. The classic flavours are the best ones - plain, raisin, pecan, walnut. I always go for these. For special flavours, favorites are blackberry and pumpkin.
Their frozen pot pies and breakfast croissants are excellent too! Drooling just thinking about them
