Best BBQ in Muskoka for past few years.
Absolutely the best smoked bbq we have ever tasted!!! Hubby and I came upon Smokin Birds by chance on a drive through Bala recently. He had the Brisket sandwich and I had the pulled Pork sandwich. The meat on both was so tender, just melts in your mouth. Served on a lovely brioche bun and had a delicious pineapple coleslaw on it as well. All of the flavours were so amazing. I wish we were closer by.
Brisket sandwich was juicy and perfectly balance.

The Smokin Birds is a hidden gem located in a beautiful setting, serving high-quality food that exceeds expectations. Known for its amazing food and great service, this spot is a must-try for anyone visiting Muskoka. The menu features burgers made from high-quality house-smoked meat, resulting in flavorful, juicy, and tender patties. Their brisket sandwich, paired with perfect fries, is a fan favorite, and many recommend the Brisket chilli fries and Turkey with a side of street corn. The brisket Sammy is decently portioned with a soft bun, and the Mexican corn is delicious and well-sized. Although some items like the small beet salad may seem small for the price, overall, the food is considered worth it, especially with the authentic BBQ smoked on-site. The atmosphere is cheerful with colorful picnic tables, and the smokers on the property add a real BBQ feel. Staff members are friendly and courteous, creating a welcoming environment. Despite being a bit pricey, the quality and atmosphere make it a memorable dining experience. The bathrooms are very clean, and the entire place maintains a high standard of cleanliness and authenticity.
