For The Halibut Fish & Chips

Halibut was very tasty, as were the fries. A bit on the pricey side, though. Friendly service. Would suggest ordering two piece fish and share.

A+ Excellent Crispy Halibut! I also tried the Battered Beef and it was excellent! The batter is golden crispy, clean and delicious. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re coming into or through Bancroft.

Randomly stopped here on my way home. Not only did they have amazing customer service and were super welcoming but my fish and chips were sooo good! How do you make fries like that!!! 10/10!

The food, service and atmosphere was excellent. Loved the music they were playing. They were so great allowing our party of three to catch-up for hours in their restaurant. Loved the scenic view out back of the restaurant.

We visit every time we’re in town, it’s become a family tradition. Natasha is an incredibly welcoming host, and the food is always delicious. The halibut is outstanding - fresh, high-quality, and perfectly crisp. The clam chowder never misses, I highly recommend adding it on.

Also if you have little ones there are highchairs and even a tiny door at the front that our kids love! We always feel super comfortable and welcomed bringing our kids out to eat here, which is everything.

If you’re in Bancroft and a fan of fish and chips, this spot is an absolute must-visit.

Only thing that surpasses the food is the amazing staff!

Stopped in for lunch on my way up to Sunny Hill Resort Near Barry’s Bay, was awesome experience.
Great service, super friendly, fresh food.

Had Halibut fish and chips, was super crispy but flaky on inside, not oily at all.

Some of the best fish and chips I have had.

Highly recommend.

You have to come here many times, you have to try everything on the menu, everything is delicious. My favorite I think is the coconut shrimp and really good coleslaw, they changed up their french fries and they are delicious 😋

A lovely stop for lunch ! Probably the freshest and most delicious dish and chips I’ve had in years . The coconut shrimp was perfectly cooked as well. My halibut is not overly battered and greasy , so I couldn’t enjoy the fish without being turned off by the batter and oil.
What is even better than the food is the friendly warm service ! Stop here and enjoy your lunch with a view of, the picnic area at the back was lovely .

We visited this retaurant on our way home from Algonquin park.
This was one of the best Fish and Chips I have tried in Ontario. Tasted just like the ones in England.
Service was amazing as well.
If you are in the Bancroft area this place is a must visit.

Lovely owners and a nice spot with tasty fish and chips. Would be a much better experience with real plates and cutlery though. I understand it would be a lot more work but it doesn’t do the food justice.

I am not exaggerating when I say this is the BEST fish and chips I have ever had - and I consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur. Growing up in Ireland, I have had more than my fair share of fish and chips, and I mean it when I say this is the best you will find in Ontario.

My boyfriend and I ordered the halibut and chips, which we loved, but we were surprised at how much we also enjoyed the coleslaw! I have never paid much attention to it as a side dish before eating here - it had real flavour, and has ruined other coleslaw for me - yes, it is that good. And no, I'm not mad about it!

Tash and Val are beautiful, talented people with a real flair for culinary prowess. It also helps that they are very cool, kind people. I was verbally assaulted by a random passerby on their property and they rushed to my aid very quickly, making sure I was alright.

I think it's important to note that this is an establishment that helps people experiencing hardship and food insecurity by allowing people to pay meals forward. It is not something I've seen much outside of big cities and I was in awe to see it here.

I can't wait to come back and see you guys soon!
