We heard good things about the food so we had to try it. The food was good but not the best around as people have said in reviews. The turn off was that we saw roaches crawling on the floor. We took take out but noticed the roaches while we were waiting.

Very friendly employees who greeted us and ensured we had everything we needed. Remarkable what the two employees could do with 25 of us in the restaurant. They hosted, served, prepared and cooked out meals.
Owner you have amazing team members!
Look forward to your opening of your restaurant in Wilberforce!

Although OK, it was not what I am used to. I was really disappointed that the naan bread was not homemade. Butter chicken was a bit sweet and the Tikka Masala was almost like a spicy tomato sauce. Just didn’t have the “Wow” feeling afterwards. Cannot comment on the atmosphere as we had take-away.

The veggie korma was wilted frozen veggies from a bag and the butter chicken was rubbery with sugar in the sauce. Terrible food.

Decent curry dishes far north of where you would normally get decent curry dishes. Tasty tomato-based chicken Tikka Masala with huge chunks of tender chicken. Mango Lassi was a treat with a sprinkling of coconut. Average Aloo Gobi, Nan and rice.

We've been going there for years. The food is always great and the service is consistently very good. The atmosphere is ok, but that's not why we go or even a factor. We go for the food and to have a great dinner.

We ordered 3 chicken dishes and 2 daals for pickup. On returning, found one daal was missing. There goes service/attentiveness
The food itself was not good. It didn’t taste good, none of the dishes; we had order chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, daal makhni and naans.
Disappointed!

Food arrived fast. Portion sizes are pretty sad, but I also eat alot. Glad I came for lunch and not dinner, or id be going to McDonald's after.
I ordered butter chicken, butter naan, and gulab jamun for dessert. With a 15% tip, it was 40$. The butter chicken seemed very westernized and sweet, but still very good. The naan was meh. Better than what you warm up at home, but definately sub par. Gulab jamun always good and is hard to mess up, just pull it out the jar. $7.50 for 3 pieces is pretty wild considering you can buy a kg at the store for less but... dont order it if you think its too much.
Waiter was friendly.
Bathrooms were questionable. Defiantley haven't been deep cleaned in a long time, just the standardized routine maintenance.
Overall for the price point, I have had much better. I would still come back occasionally to try some other dishes or maybe the buffet if it ever comes back. I would also ask for an authentic option without the added sugar if one does exist the next time i order their butter chicken. I could also be naive to this flavour profile. Perhaps from a region where it is in fact authentic?

We had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. We finally stopped in for dinner today. Since it was our first visit, we chose the appetizer platter, so we could sample a variety. The menu described the platter as one of each of the nine appetizers on their menu. When it arrived, there were 7 items (not9) and two were stone cold.
Unfortunately there was only one person running the restaurant today... cooking, cleaning, serving (& coughing) so we couldn't get his attention to point out the shortcomings.
Perhaps it was just an off day, but
the lack of service, substandard quality of food preparation, and the pesky flies we had to keep shooing away from our food, left us disappointed and unwilling to order an entree, much less return another day.
Upon leaving, we looked for a restaurant scorecard to reassure ourselves that we didn't need to be concerned about the food safety, but didn't see one posted anywhere.
Sadly, this has soured us on not just this restaurant, but their other Bancroft restaurant as well.

One of the best, if not the best, Indian places I’ve ever had in Ontario. Anytime I drive through Bancroft we have to stop and grab takeout. Butter chicken, vegetable korma, garlic naan and samosas are unbelievable. Wish I lived closer.
