I always come here when I pass through Bancroft- the food is always delightful and I love the cute vibe of the cafe. Unfortunately today I was greeted with a very unfriendly staff member, who made me feel like my asking for a sandwich and tea equated to asking her to build the Great Wall of China in a day. Regardless of the quality of the food, I left with a poor taste in my mouth, and therefore will not be back.

Went in to order 2 pizzas to go today. One was a margarita and the other a meat lovers. I seen a pizza that was sitting beside the oven that looked burnt after handing them my receipt I was handed a pizza in the box and then sat and waited for the other one. That had me waiting another 25 minutes, yet pizzas were coming out of the oven and going to tables. Finally I was handed the second pizza and asked how do I eat these now when one is hot and the other not so hot now. No response received. I wish I looked at them before I left the restaurant. Burnt, undercooked dough. I believe I was given the pie that I first seen sitting there. Pizza was burnt and tasteless. This doesn’t look anything like the pizza pictures advertised on the Facebook page. Will not waste my money on these wood oven pizzas again. I really love pizza, however this was brutal My Wife was disappointed as well. . Went directly into the rubbish bin.

Best butter tart I have ever had, and I have eaten tarts for 60 years from all across Canada! Made right there and the one I had was warm and fresh out of the oven.

The place is so cute! Too bad the food isn’t good and the staff are rude. Had a blackberry and Brie sandwich, blackberries tasted like tomatoes? Disgusting. Friend had a pesto chicken sandwich that didn’t have pesto. Would not recommend. Much better places in Bancroft to eat. :)

Such a lovely little cafe! Very pleased to find gluten-free and alternative dairy options on their menu. I ordered a Reuben on gluten-free bread with dairy-free (vegan) cheese and it was delicious, with a very generous portion size! My kids always enjoy getting the giant chocolate chip cookies after a visit to the nearby playground. A local gem!
