The a-hole owner sells out of date, i.e., spoiled food. In a rush, I bought cheese that was packaged in Aug 2022, 5 month old ham, and 3 old month salami. All spoiled. I went to get my money back, and he tells me there's nothing wrong with them, they're still edible. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS PLACE.

This place is absolutely disgusting! The food is well past its expiration date and the owner doesn’t care. I’ve witnessed him being abusive towards his staff. Do not support this guy. ?

Last 3 times chicken was burnt and the last time I found flies in my food. Hoped it would get better because it was honestly good before. This last time the chicken was just wildly burnt to hand out and I had the pleasure of finding two deep dried flies in my food. I won't be ordering again.

Shelley and Natalie are great to deal with. It is a small shop worthy of our support. The fried chicken rivals KFC and the Coconut Cream Pie and Peanut Butter cookies are in short supply because they are delicious. Out of self-interest, I should probably downplay the coconut cream pie.

More of a convenience store than bakery. Varied mix of food items.

We love this shop. Love picking up specialty items, amazing dinner rolls and cookies. Today we tried the chicken and fries and the family reports it was really good!

Who is giving this place less than 5 stars? Love this shop. Amazing fresh breads and pies, local honeys, jams and maple syrup, European delights, some harder to find Asian items (ramen can be made in store), and a bathroom for paying customers. The owner has plans to expand offerings very soon, but I can't share experience about those. Love this little shop!

The store employee was very friendly. They didn't have too many baked goods left. We were there around noon

Went in August 2022. Going to buy a few bakery items. New owners but not much bakery selection. Owner walked around but not friendly or welcoming. We won't be back
We used to love this bakery - the perfect spot to pop in for fresh, home made sandwiches on fresh bread, pick up some cheese and unique deli items. Now this place is just a convenience store with the same items I can find at any grocery store for cheaper. They removed the fresh bakery and cheese section - so you can't really call this place a deli anymore. They now have friend chicken...that is just sitting there and just not appetizing looking. A huge disappointment for the town.

I went in for a breakfast sandwich that they had advertised on their front door and the lady told they don’t sell them. He door was a dirty liar.

Prices for coffee and bread etc were great and good quality. But everything else has no price labels on it. I have no idea how the other prices of products were in order to properly review it.The place seems extremely different from last year so it seems there is new ownership. I don't know if this is related to growing pains or what.

We stopped in Bancroft on our way to Ottawa and were happy to see that there was a deli/ bakery in town. We all got the Korean pulled pork sandwich it was very tasty and warmed us right up. We also snagged some freshly baked cookies for the road. Zehr's has that old world charm of a family ran business. the owner was kind and helpful and friendly. We will be stopping in again our next road trip.
