We celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary at Baton Rouge and the experience was wonderful. We had the prime rib and the filet mignon steak with the loaded potato side. Both steaks were cooked to perfection and had great flavors. We also had the spinach dip as an appetizer which was excellent as well. Our server Grant was amazing and made the whole experience wonderful. We will definitely be going again soon. They also had live music which added a nice touch to the evening.
Excellent meal, filet mignon cooked to perfection, very professional service, great atmosphere. We highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning soon. Thanks you so much
We ordered a club sandwich and received two toasted sandwiches that weren't even cut. Not a club sandwich at all. Pop was flat - brought it to servers attention, the second one was flat too. Seafood pasta was ok but quite bland Been here many times before without any complaints - not sure if under new management?
Other than the noise level being higher than we like everything was fantastic. Our server, Paul, is the best! He even remembered us from previous visits.
Walked in and the restaurant is looking very run down. Benches are all peeling, bathroom doors wouldn't close and were very dirty. Our waiter seemed nice in the start but became quickly very pushy with the upsales (ex telling us the lower price dishes were not good and to order fancier steaks, then pushing us to order more drinks when we clearly stated we didn't want anymore, then trying to upsell butter, mushrooms, upgraded sides in a pushy manor). The food was ok - the pasta didn't seem as advertised, but the steak and mashed potatoes and calamari were nice. Drinks were also nice With all the dining options on Bayfield st and in Barrie we will not be returning here after this experience
Very slow service. Beer took forever as there was an issue with their machine.
Barely any veggies for the side with the meal.
I had the salmon. Had parsley and tomato on it which is a super weird combo. Wasn’t good at all. The spinach dip was not good either. Tasted like a soup mix. Barely any cheese. Bland chips with it. Super disappointed as I was excited about going here.
Will not be back! Spent 160.00 to not enjoy it.
Excellent dinner! we both had the New York steak and it was cooked to perfection. Live music was playing and it was great. server surprised me with a birthday cookie and ice cream. perfect ending to a great meal
Stopped in for a quick lunch meal and had a wonderful time. Can't be certain if it's always so attentive, but with how quiet it was we received 5 star service.
Food out did our expectations, and our server took wonderful care of us and our experience.
Notable mention to how delicious and rich the mushroom chicken gravy was, and the Risotto was immaculate.
Gladly dine in here again when the chance arises.

on april 19, 2025, my wife and I went to baton rouge on bayfield street, barrie, ontario to have supper to celebrate our 50'th anniversary. Despite their prior knowledge of the occasion, it went unacknowledged, and, to make a long story short, both the
meal and the service were sub-standard. To make it worse the two emails to the head office and the one to the establishment also went unacknowledged, even though I noted I was trying to avoid a bad review on Google maps and trip advisor. Obviously we will not return or recommend.

We ordered the buy one get one free ribs which came with soggy shoe string fries and coleslaw. The ribs were tender however the BBQ sauce had a burnt tasting flavour and the meat on the ribs was lacking seasoning like salt, pepper ect. The coleslaw was very dry and lacking flavour as well. We had to add Miracle Whip and sweet pickle juice to make it edible. The fries were soggy and the portion size for one was too large. This was our first time ordering from here and probably the last. I thought this was a higher quality restaurant considering the menu but I would rate the food quality lower than a cafeteria style Ponderosa restaurant.
I think higher quality choices for the sides and less quantity would improve return customers. Take a lesson from Swiss Chalets selection of sides.
The host Lauryn and the manager Brice made this experience so great for me, the service is amazing and I will definitely be coming back! The food was great as well and it was overall an amazing time.

Live music at dinner but far too noisy and not compatible with a high end causal restaurant. Wife ordered a mushroom chicken but said the meat was tough giving her a stomach pain at night. My Bevette steak was just ok.
