“Tried The Caribbean Express recently and honestly, I was impressed. Finding good Caribbean food in Barrie isn’t easy, but this spot gets pretty close to the real thing. The food was flavorful, portions were fair for the price, and everything tasted freshly made.
It’s a small, tucked-away place. Definitely more of a takeout spot, the service is quick and parking was easy. The owners were really kind and down-to-earth.
If you go, I highly recommend the oxtail. Super tender, and don’t forget to ask for extra gravy-makes a huge difference.

These guys have been good to us ever since we started ordering pizza from them. They have made mistakes regarding our orders, but they made up for them promptly (it usually helps to be polite to them first) and brought us correct food. Recently, there was an ice storm and power was out all over our region, but Pizza Hut was still open (unfortunately no delivery, but that made sense at the time). There's only one table and two chairs inside so I wouldn't recommend dining in. I waited longer than I would have liked, but (and I reiterate) it couldn't be helped because of the natural disaster, and other customers were so self-entitled and seem to have forgotten that while waiting. I eventually got my pizza, chicken and a salad, and my wife and I could eat during a time where there was no power. Thank you everyone who worked those days, and know that we appreciate you.”

“On March 24, 2025 my boyfrie… I mean Fiancée and I went in to have a celebratory drink as he had just proposed only a couple hours before, it wasn’t busy and after hearing of our engagement staff and patrons were over the moon excited, super friendly, and over all exceedingly pleasant. “went to Sakana house location at Big Bay Point with a group of 8 yesterday (Feb3), about 40 minutes into receiving our food, different individuals from our table start finding hair in the food while grabbing it straight from each platter. the first time a hair is found we mention it to the staff and just put aside the food that has a 10" hair in it. then it continues, long hairs, short hairs, black hair, brown hair, etc. each time we show the staff they take it away. after 5 times in a row we stop eating and decide we want to go. we ask to speak to the manager. no manager comes to us. a staff by the name of "Na Na" decides to say she was sorry, but everyone wears hair nets and it's busy...... we walk to the area where staff makes and preps food, not one person is wearing hair nets...... I again ask for a manager to which no one never comes. she then says she'd give us a discount on each bill for the trouble. I paying for 3, with a bill of $134 got a $10 discount for hairy food and we went elsewhere because we were still hungry at we were not there for long..... the table behind us found hair in their food as well, in their first plate. they left right away..... So If you want hairy sushi at full price, go here. I will be calling Food Safety and complaining about this location as well. 0/5 rating!!”

“I frequent the Queens on the regular for the live Band circuit that is there both Friday and Saturday nights starting usually at 5:30.. it’s recommended to get a reservation if you expect a table weeks in advance. The staff are great and a huge shout out to Amanda and Clair especially! Let’s talk food! They have a great menu and the food has never been disappointing instead delicious and chef worthy. There is a short break at the end of the band but then a DJ comes on both nights for dancing. For the sports people there are multiple TV’s to watch everywhere!
