We just moved into the area and ventured out on a walk with our kiddos to try some of the local shops and found Jake’s Bakes. Wow!! We loved everything about our first visit. Jake is so lovely and kind, and really hit it off with our kiddos. The lemonades were so refreshing and yummy. And the BAKED GOODS — don’t even get me started because they’re delicious — every single one that we tried!

Based on the reviews, Jake's Bakes is a small and quaint, independently owned business in Southwest Barrie that has been there for 3 years. The lovely staff and employees are amazing, respectful, and always making sure customers get what they need in a timely manner. The bakery smells so delicious. Customers find the best treats, including the best cinnamon buns in town, fantastic tarts, and a peanut butter cookie that is so good. The buttertarts are at a reasonable price, and the lemon/raspberry tart is a favorite but sells out quickly. Other menu items include chocolate chip cookies, a babka, a s’mores cookie, and brown sugar oat iced coffees. The iced coffee was sweet but not too sweet. All the baked goods are incredible, and the icing on the cinnamon bun is so good. Customers highly recommend getting there early for best selection or calling ahead.
