“1-Follow up on reservations for my party by the restaurant hours ahead-and seating location was as requested.Notified we had two for service that day -Catt /Makayla .2-Informed both-we were catching up our once a month chit/chat and they informed us of the menus - etc —choices were made on our part with both of them checking on our various selections and keeping things flowing all the time.-questions of changing salad dressings with our selections-just one of the changes after that a few more but never gave the suggestion to us that it was any problem.-Several times we were asked how are things going-was there any thing we did not have or do we wish to change anything that was just not what we thought we were Ordering from the menus. We said no and they said enjoy your time .We did and again we left knowing that is a place in Barrie you might wanted to add to seek and find list of where to eat in Barrie,Ontario soon.“

“Pretty standard breakfast, the sausages were fantastic! It was busy when we arrived but luckily there was counter space available. I don't understand the 1 star reviews. People seem to think they're restaurant critics.... The coffee is bottomless, I'm not sure how someone could make that mistake...“

“First time going to an Applebee's! The popcorn shrimp appetizer was amazingly delicious. The French onion soup was not as great as I expected. Our mains could use more flavor, but the brisket tacos were really tasty. The dulce cheesecake was great too. The save for this dine in was our server. She was up to par, as far as great service goes. She refilled without asking, she came at appropriate times, she wasn't pushy or rude and she recommended the perfect appetizer. Best server experience I've had in a long time and I hire hospitality staff for a living!“

“Love the food at this location. Always fresh and unbelievably tasty. My daughter and I always eat here as we pass by Barrie once a week. Raman, the girl who serves us, is always very friendly and prepares the food to our liking. FIVE STARS all the time, every time !!!“

“Had a large group of us. Service was very fast. Food very yummy. GURPREET WAS OUR SERVER, amazing!!

Only thing is for a large group they charge 18% guarantee, which is fine. However didn’t notice till after I got home they charged me 20%.“

“The other day It was my first time eating here, my haddok dinner meal was very good and I ordered the country fried steak for my lunch the next day. Both meals were very good in taste and size. Great service and great food!!!! I will be back again.“

“We were so incredibly pleased with our stop at this location. We called in advance as we were showing up close to closing time from a road trip, and they were kind enough to be kind about it and accept us.

When we were having trouble ordering, instead of upselling us, Diane was honest enough to suggest a single combo upgrade so my wife and I could share and save us that cash. Although it was more than clear we were pressed for time, Diane never made us feel unwelcome or burdensome. She was professional and kind throughout our multiple interactions.

The food arrived promptly, and was very delicious. We got the roast beef dinner, which tasted so great. I wish the mashed potatoes were a little creamier and the bun not so hard, but everything was great. We finished the food promptly. It's interesting that I read a review that mentioned a watered down drink, because our ginger ale did taste a bit watery.

When our meal was still not done past closing, we were again not made to feel burdensome, unwelcome, or uncomfortable. I believe there were two managers at the back that we thanked and gave good feedback to and now this positive review! We actually hadn't been to Swiss Chalet in a very long time, and this has been a pleasant and welcome surprise, and maybe we'll start visiting more often closer to home“

“I had a perfectly cooked white meat quarter chicken dinner with fries and salad. The portion was good and the meal was as good as ever. Worth the price. The wait staff was attentive and polite. Had a piece of yummy lemon meringue pie for dessert.“

“Arrived at 5:10pm to a huge smile and warm welcome from Tanvir. He was so hospitable and kind. He waited for me to confirm something with my son. I commented on how happy and great the atmosphere was. He said I am always like this. Lila took over to put all the condiments on the burger, answered my questions. Great teamwork. My son said the food was delicious. Such a great experience. Thanks for the amazing service.“
