“Tried Hakka Town last night for the first time and wow! the food was incredible. I loved the Chicken Pakora and the Manchurian Beef. We also enjoyed the Chili Chicken vegetable noodles and spring rolls. Prices are reasonable and quality ingredients! We will be back!“

“Had heard they were pretty darn good, just placed and picked up an order — two combination platters and an order of mixed vegetables. Absolutely fantastic beyond expectations.

Everything was cooked perfectly, and delicious. Not at all greasy, but so damn flavorful. Veggies were cooked fantastic, perfect crunch, amazing flavor. All the lo mein noodles were bouncy and seasoned beautifully. Chicken and beef, no grease, all flavor. It was all just bright and tasty and pretty darn healthy.

I feel like a dummy not having ordered from here since moving to Barrie awhile ago. Lifelong customers created in a matter of 15 minutes, lol.“

“Fantastic Chinese and Thai cuisine! The General Tao chicken was amazing! Ginger Beef and Pad Thai were very good as well.
The chicken fried rice was a little bland, but I could order a different type next time. Overall, fantastic food, big portions and fair prices for the quality and quantity that you receive. Will definitely come back to try more dishes!“

“Veggie/vegan options were outstanding! Chicken balls, sesame chicken, veggie almond ding, popcorn chicken (like mini chicken balls), the sweet and sour sauce, all incredible. The Singapore noodles were a bit cinnamon like, or a flavour I can’t really explain but I was not a fan. But the food was very good and I highly recommend giving it a try. “I’ve been a costumer from this place for a very long time! One thing I can say is that these people are really hard working and very good at what they do. They’re not only fast but very efficient. I usually place my order over the phone. I don’t know how they do it, but the minute the client walks in they know to whom each order belongs. They serve plenty of food! The taste and the quality of the vegetables are amazing. I’m glad they took one day of the week to rest and enjoy themselves because they worked every single day, even during holidays. “Been getting takeout from here lately, it’s been pretty good classic Chinese. Nothing too fancy, no fusion dishes, just like the old school staples like chicken fried rice or noodle plates that are done well. They take orders over the phone, too, which is nice.“

“A delicious birthday dinner was enjoyed by our family recently. Ordering the Dinner for 4, with the short ribs being the favourite of the meal.

Everything was fresh, hot and perfectly cooked. An abundance of food that could feed more than 4 if you didn't want leftovers.

Always recommend CK Chinese for those looking for a good selection in good shareable quantities.“

“My first time trying chen’s and I was pleasantly surprised. I haven’t been able to find a good Chinese place in Barrie but Chens is amazing. I had the dinner combo and for around $11 there was some real weight to the portion size. I was very pleased that they use the big chicken balls (not the tiny little gross ones) & the rice was good and not dry like most places. I also tried the szecheun chicken which had a really nice flavour, chicken was moist and the spice to it was excellent. I will for sure go back and recommend to others.“

I order a couple combos (#3 and #8) and tried the general tao chicken, chicken fried rice, noodles, veggies mix, s&s spare ribs, chicken wings and egg rolls. Everything vas flavourful, the veggies well cooked and the juice was on point.

It is a small restaurant with huge quality and a not so extensive menu so you cant trust they will give you what you’re expecting and maybe more.“

“Great place to grab fast and affordable lunches (dinner options are good too). Been coming to this restaurant 6 months in a row and the food was always great. I was a fan of the General Tso chicken lunch option and it is priced amazingly. The only big downside for me of this place is the dine-in experience. As I said I been coming to this place for over 6 months and every time I needed to dine in the tables were extremely sticky which was not the greatest experience. I don’t think there was a time I was there and the tables were clean, they are always sticky and that is what stops me from dining in but take out still great! The last few times I also noticed the floor being sticky just like the table which to be honest doesn’t seem promising.Overall 4 stars for the food as it is always good, but they need to improve the dine-in option.“

“went to Sakana house location at Big Bay Point with a group of 8 yesterday (Feb3), about 40 minutes into receiving our food, different individuals from our table start finding hair in the food while grabbing it straight from each platter. the first time a hair is found we mention it to the staff and just put aside the food that has a 10" hair in it. then it continues, long hairs, short hairs, black hair, brown hair, etc. each time we show the staff they take it away. after 5 times in a row we stop eating and decide we want to go. we ask to speak to the manager. no manager comes to us. a staff by the name of "Na Na" decides to say she was sorry, but everyone wears hair nets and it's busy...... we walk to the area where staff makes and preps food, not one person is wearing hair nets...... I again ask for a manager to which no one never comes. she then says she'd give us a discount on each bill for the trouble. I paying for 3, with a bill of $134 got a $10 discount for hairy food and we went elsewhere because we were still hungry at we were not there for long..... the table behind us found hair in their food as well, in their first plate. they left right away..... So If you want hairy sushi at full price, go here. I will be calling Food Safety and complaining about this location as well. 0/5 rating!!“
