“Good Asian cuisine, just a difficulty in enjoying the breaded pork chop on the bone, the plastic cutlery is not very durable.
For Udon noodles with beef, you must season the dish to taste with the sauce provided separately.
The waitress is patient and very friendly.“

“Went there for the first time about a week ago, and I gotta say, their food was hot and delicious. The only thing I'd say is, the combo I got that came with chicken fried rice, was a bit bland, but I added a pack of soy sauce and it made it 10 times better.

I got the lunch Number C7 and it was really tasty and you get a good amount of food, go with the Special Combination Platters!! Theres 12 different combinations you can choose from, plus you get a decent variety of food ?, ( if you wanna try general tso's chicken but are afraid of spice, it's not spicy at all so don't worry, I can't tolerate spice myself??)

“I do eat regular chicken but do not eat any other meat. Got their Meatless Chicken Fried Rice and was I pleasantly surprised. Their replicated chicken out of soy is fairly indistinguishable from real chicken. Love it.

“I’ve been a costumer from this place for a very long time! One thing I can say is that these people are really hard working and very good at what they do. They’re not only fast but very efficient. I usually place my order over the phone. I don’t know how they do it, but the minute the client walks in they know to whom each order belongs. They serve plenty of food! The taste and the quality of the vegetables are amazing. I’m glad they took one day of the week to rest and enjoy themselves because they worked every single day, even during holidays. I tried the honey garlic chicken for the first time the other day and found each bite tasted different one I enjoyed the next I didn't I personally wouldn't order that specific dish again but the pepper steak, breaded shrimp and the noodles were “

“My first time trying chen’s and I was pleasantly surprised. I haven’t been able to find a good Chinese place in Barrie but Chens is amazing. I had the dinner combo and for around $11 there was some real weight to the portion size. I was very pleased that they use the big chicken balls (not the tiny little gross ones) & the rice was good and not dry like most places. I also tried the szecheun chicken which had a really nice flavour, chicken was moist and the spice to it was excellent. I will for sure go back and recommend to others.“

“Amazing Chinese food, tasty nice portions, nothing dry or lacking seasoning.

I order a couple combos (#3 and #8) and tried the general tao chicken, chicken fried rice, noodles, veggies mix, s&s spare ribs, chicken wings and egg rolls. Everything vas flavourful, the veggies well cooked and the juice was on point.

It is a small restaurant with huge quality and a not so extensive menu so you cant trust they will give you what you’re expecting and maybe more.“

“Been getting takeout from here lately, it’s been pretty good classic Chinese. Nothing too fancy, no fusion dishes, just like the old school staples like chicken fried rice or noodle plates that are done well. They take orders over the phone, too, which is nice.“

I was a fan of the General Tso chicken lunch option and it is priced amazingly. The only big downside for me of this place is the dine-in experience. As I said I been coming to this place for over 6 months and every time I needed to dine in the tables were extremely sticky which was not the greatest experience. I don’t think there was a time I was there and the tables were clean, they are always sticky and that is what stops me from dining in but take out still great! The last few times I also noticed the floor being sticky just like the table which to be honest doesn’t seem promising.Overall 4 stars for the food as it is always good, but they need to improve the dine-in option.“

“I have been ordering from this place since I was 5yrs old and it was a little shack on the side of the road on bayfield street . I’m now 68 and it’s still the only Chinese food I will eat . The kids do pretty good with the grandmas recipes . I’m never disappointed with the food and I’m pretty fussy .“
