best restaruant, i love this thingy, the owner is very cool and awesome, food is good, i like the J and the Y
Nice Chinese take out. Not a disappointment but not something to write home about. Kind of what you want when you just want a classic Chinese take out night. They also do sushi, sushi is pretty darn good. The young guy really put effort into the roll, It’s a family business and u see that when you walk in, nothing special but by far no disappointment. Big portion for $.
Everything we’ve ordered has been very delicious, very generous portions , highly recommend

Based on reviews, J & Y Restaurant Barrie offers nice Chinese take out and also does sushi, which is pretty darn good. It is a family business with big portions for the price. The food is often hot and delicious, with fresh and warm servings. The lunch Number C7 is really tasty, and the Special Combination Platters offer 12 different combinations. General tso’s chicken is not spicy at all. However, service can be a problem, as one reviewer had difficulty communicating when trying to add gyozas. The food quality has sometimes been not fresh with an old oil taste, and one order of seaweed salad arrived as a literal ice chunk, completely frozen. Overall, it is not a disappointment but not something to write home about, described as kind of what you want for a classic Chinese take out night.
